Sandcastle Condominiums exceeded my expectations! Check-in was so easy and the front desk staff was so pleasant. I stayed in unit #419. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchenette was very nice! This unit had everything I needed and then some! But the greatest attraction was the VIEW from the balcony! You can’t get any better than the view of the Gulf of Mexico from here! The balcony also overlooked the large pool! At night, it was nice to sit on the balcony in the comfortable Adirondack chairs and feel the breeze from the Gulf.
This is definitely my new favorite place I’ll stay every time I’m in Port Aransas.

New Construction directly in front of condos, obstructing ocean view.
Large crane and heavy equipment have taken over the view for most of Sandcastles units. In addition, loud construction noise drowns out the sound of the ocean waves and peaceful atmosphere.
The parking lot serves as an easement for the worksite, making it difficult to enter and get to the office.
The unit is nice and clean and the staff does a great job. Wth that said, if you're looking for ocean views and tranquil atmosphere from your balcony, we recommend staying elsewhere until construction is over.

The condominium is within walking distance to the beach and the ocean can be seen from the rooms. The bed is okay but the pillows are cheap foam rubber. It was clean but the skillet was dirty and the utensils were cheap. The air conditioning was fantastic.

When we arrived to room, saw one cleaning lady watch people as “lookout” while other cleaning lady was inside our room. When they left, the room was foul. Cleaning staff apparently had diarrhea and used our room bathroom. Even with air vent on for well over an hour, complained to front desk staff, she laughed and gave me an air cleaner spray.
Water constantly leaked out of shower. Had to use several towels daily. Requested towels from front desk, waited 1.5 hours, had to find staff and gave them the wet towels and requested again for clean towels. Bathroom faucet was loose.
Checkout required piling sheets and towels so that cleaning staff can gather. When removing sheets, white flakes came out from under the sheets. Don’t know what it was, but it would explain allergy issues. No one came every day with new towels or making bed.
We’ve been going to Sandcastle for several years, this will be the last time.

This condo hotel is amazing! Super clean and modern don’t let the outside full you! Clerks were super nice. Trip with a good friend, but definitely coming back with my daughter for her birthday! Beach is a walk away..

The perfect location! Walk or better yet, Golf Cart to the beach or favorite diner. Easy access to everything! Beautiful beach views from #402. Destiny was a perfect Hotel receptionist. So kind and knowledgeable. Thank you all for a wonderful vacation ?

My family and I have stayed here the past 3yrs and this year they showed their true colors. We had vehicle trouble on our 8hr trip down to stay here and we called to see if we could bump our reservation back a day and they said no they did nothing to help our situation. We first thought we'll maybe the day after we check out is booked and that's why they can't bump it back, so we decided to stay another night cause we didn't want our 2 lil boys missing out due to vehicle issues and guess what our condo was available for another day. So technically they could have bump us back a day but guess that would have took to much effort. This will be our last resort as a place to stay in the future.

We’ve stayed at the Sandcastle plenty of times over the years but we won’t be coming back again. For the price of the room (room 513) we were disappointed. The bed was really uncomfortable, low to the ground, somehow felt smaller than a queen and was really squeaky. The majority of the outlets did not work, the wifi barely worked (the front desk said just get on a different room’s WiFi which would sometimes work & they claim no fault because they contract out the wifi and won’t compensate for issues). When you could get the wifi to finally work both TVs had issues with even turning on and navigating to Netflix, etc. There were also 5 remotes for 2 TVS for some reason. The pool was closed for 2 days out of our trip and they refused to refund any of our money. They started charging $10 per card if you don’t turn your card back in at the end of your stay. That seems like just greedy honestly and not like the old Sandcastle. We’ll be staying elsewhere next year

Great area to be in. We loved it. Very clean and maintained. Clerks nott so friendly, they were kind of sad looking instead of cheerful and happy. No smiles just there. But the property and rooms were great. Only one elevator worked on the side we were on , so if you were towards the end of the building like we were it was stairs .

pool is nice, jacuzzi is nice but bubbles are useless/noisy. our unit was nice, new. hoa policy of mandated wristbands while on premises is outrageous! will never forget this belittling of guests, typical of idiot BOD run condos! lol good luck Sandcastle owners...

Such a gem! Perfect location, as close as you can get to the water and right across from the sweetest family owned golf cart rental service. Room was remodeled and upgraded. Bathroom was plenty big enough. Also has a pool which is a great option when you grow tired of the sand but still want the water. Friendly staff. room came with everything you need to be comfortable. Already rebooked for next month.

Stayed in room #105, the view was amazing! The room was new and modern with massive televisions and cold AC! Everything was great about this place. There were no cameras as someone stated before and there was plenty of privacy. One minute walk to pool and feeding the turtles, and two minute walk to the beach. This place is has music and events going at the pool all weekend long, it is great!
