If your in Port A for a vacation...you must get to Tortuga's at least once. Get a reservation and enjoy some of the best food on the island. Top notch service, drink/wine menu, and the freshest seafood you can get. Place is amazing and so is the staff.

Only issue was limited tables inside, do not like booths so had to sit outside due to noise level at available table which was by coffee maker/service area a rear of restaurant. Outside area was quite but we did have to fight flys away throughout out meal. That said, we love this restaurant and always have great service and good food. The house made Spice cake was especially enjoyable. We look forward to our next visit.

We had a great time! Tortuga's boudin balls are the absolute best!!! Shrimp & Grits is always a good choice. All 9 of us enjoyed our dinner selections. ? Suggestion: Add Tortuga Tea back onto your menu. ?

Really good food. Really bad service. Waitress was very upset about something and it was affecting everything she did or didn't do. The food was good enough to make up for it. I'd go back again.

We have eaten here before. The cocktail choices are creative and well-prepared. The menu is extensive and generally the food is well-prepared. The fried seafood was crispy and not greasy or overcooked. It is obvious that the fish is fresh. My oysters were huge and that is not necessarily a good thing. My wife had shrimp and grits and the grits were cooked to firm and formed rather than creamy. A matter of preference I suppose. Cocktails and dinner for 4 with an appetizer was just over $200. We enjoyed the meal and will likely return when we are back at Port A.

First time here, first time visiting this area. The food was excellent, as was the bottle of wine. Our server, Leslie, was prompt and attentive. Prices were on par with what we're accustomed to ( we're here from California; SF Bay Area). Like many restaurants that we frequent, the noise level made conversation across the table difficult! Perhaps if there were some fabric upholstery on the booth benches & backs, there could be some sound absorbency? I understand not having carpeting, from a cleanliness standpoint, but all hard surfaces everywhere in the restaurant contributes to the noise factor, and the diminished enjoyment of the experience , overall.

Tortuga's is one of our favorite restaurants! We go every time we are in Port A. The food is very very good! We had had the filet the last 2 times we have gone there. We also love the shrimp and grits also.

First time eating at Tortuga Grill; we were very pleased. Nice place, good service and great food. Parm-crusted flounder was cooked just right and scallop dish was perfection. Excellent Bloody Mary and delicious key lime pie rounded out the meal. So glad we went!

Have eaten here several times before but this time was disappointing. Service was not great. Poor waitress had too many tables and a large party of 12 young women celebrating what I assumed was upcoming nuptials. The food was fine but the noise level surrounding us did not really create a nice dining experience where we could enjoy what we ordered. It was my birthday dinner and was hoping to order a dessert but the waitress never came with the dessert menu so we gave up. Probably will try some other nice restaurants on the island in the future.

Sabri is an excellent waitress, we visited twice last week and were very fortunate to have her wait on us both times. Although the restaurant was rather busy, Sabre found time to check in at our table often and when she didn't know the answer to a question, took the extra minute to go find out. The food was generally excellent, although the Southwester Salad, advertised with pico de gallo, came with chopped red onions instead. Several people can't eat raw onions since they absorb toxins from the air once they are cut, so it would have been nice for the Cook to make that know to the wait staff in advance. The steak and fish entrees were excellent and properly cooked. Across the two meals we enjoyed Chargrilled Corvino (a light, almost flounder like fish), Crab-encrusted snapper that was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside, the Surf & Turf and the Churrascos. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, we always return to Tortugas when we visit Port A.

Nice menu selections. Note 3% savings if you pay cash. Good food, service and atmosphere (don't let the exterior mislead you). Seated promptly for our reservation. Tortuga is probably one of the nicer restaurants in the area, we celebrated our anniversary here.

With the ratings, I was frankly expecting a lot more. The service was good, but the food was just okay. The shrimp my wife had were a bit bland and the Parmesan encrusted flounder I had was not that great. Since you are paying a premium, this should have been great. Maybe it was because they are moving into the off season. To me, there are better choices in Port A.

Our waitperson was very good and he was especially good with the young children at a nearby table, he did tricks for them with the battery operated tea lights. My only complaint was my wife and I ordered a glass of wine to be served with our meal. We had to remind him twice and both times blamed it on the bar, not. We ordered the boudin balls appetizer (don't bother with them, unpleasant) and side salads which came out before we finished the appetizer. The food came quickly after that, in fact our friend was not through with his salad yet. All 3 of us had the Shrimp & Grits. It was good, not as good as mine, but we were all happy with it. Beware the grits are a Grit Cakes, that appeared to be deep fried, they warm and soft inside with a slightly crunch exterior. If I had not been warned of this by the waiter I would not have been happy! I get it grits are hard to keep soft and warm all night. The grit cakes were done well but still it was not fresh, soft, creamy grits. Loved the sauce, lots of bacon. This was a very good meal overall.

First time in we had a great experience at Sunday brunch! The steak & egg hash and Benny were both awesome and so filling! Servers were super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend for brunch, I'm looking forward to having more meals here!

Fabulous. The lobster bisque and lobster roll with the kale salad side was delicious. The snapper was equally tasty. Laura made the experience extra special by being attentive while ensuring we enjoyed our lunch. Highly recommended.
