Talk about a store that needs reform. We live in 2023 now, I understand its the country side. I was just buying a couple thing from our camp. Did not expect to be followed through the store. I asked why he didn't come in the store while the other family was there. He stated they were doing self check out. Hmmm well sir how do you know I wasn't doing self check out n why follow me through the store to see where I was at. For shame , I pity you.

Only go here if u ABSOLUTELY have to. It's trashed out, nothing is EVER stocked, rude employees and unopened boxes line the shelves. Magnolia is only 5 miles away!!!

We are way beyond frustrated and angry with this DG and others in area. Particularly this DG as apparently workers are told to have customers use self checkout. Other DGs we have had employees and managers watch from a couple isles over as 3 people wait while person at self checkout has messed it up and we all stand waiting and they do NOTHING TO HELP! Tonight self checkout rings wrong price and employee can't fix it, the manager who can, is not there!! You have to go back in the morning to get $$ back??? NO!!!!What about people waiting extra time behind you because of this or you get someone who can barely deal/operate self check out? We have left many times because of this, it's just not worth it. Not going back just for being convienent. ?????DONE, DONE, DONE!

1.24.23 we stopped in this Dollar General to see what they have. We have only been to a DG in Galveston so we knew they would have totally different merchandise here in the country. This is the closest "store" to our new house so we will be dropping in and picking a few items every now and then. The store was tidy and for the most part well stocked. They have everything from beer, wine, cereal, soups, cookies, chips, cleaning supplies, frozen food(limited amount but still good choice in a pinch) home decor, toys, office supplies, beauty supplies, meds, vitamins and so much more. They had so many foods we have not seen in years. I had to buy some cookies. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all I will be returning here.

I am WAY beyond angry with this place! It shut down 9/4/2022 for remodeling that was supposed to add fresh produce. A 4 day shut-down, they said. As of today, over TWO WEEKS later after re-opening, the only registers working are self-checkout, card only. No cash. Fresh produce is minimal. Shelves are pretty bare. I asked a worker, who was clearly tired of answering this question, when the store would be fully operational. She said they were waiting for "corporate" to get quotes for the electric work to fix the registers!I do not blame the workers, who are doing their best under trying circumstances. But, moving forward, I will be shopping anywhere I possibly can EXCEPT Dollar General. My bank balance was low today, but I had $150 cash that I WOULD have spent at this store. Another store got my money today. I will not shop again at this store if I have any other option.

So friendly Mary and the young man that work there are an asset to this astablishment. Thank yall so much for keeping the store clean organized and for yalls attitudes. I really appreciate how genuine yall are.
