My child used to attend Windhaven Academy up until I saw a teacher being rough with a child and dragging them. This prompted me to report the incident. When I raised my concerns, they simply showed me the employee notice paperwork. I feel it's important to inform others about the kind of individuals they employ. I refrained from leaving a review until my sister informed me that the same teacher was working at her child’s daycare. Windhaven Academy should have escalated this issue to the authorities to prevent her from working at other daycares, thus endangering other children. Someone with such behavior should not be allowed near children as it poses a serious risk.

Five stars all the way! Our child has thrived in this loving and supportive environment. It's such a relief to know they're in good hands while we're at work

My little girl has been going here for a little over 2 years now. All the staff is so sweet and kind. The admin staff acknowledges all the kids by name when they arrive. It’s such a warm welcoming place. The director an owner are incredibly nice and will always go above and beyond. My family loves this school so much. I couldn’t recommend it more!

My 9 month old started here on 2/5/23 and has missed about three-four days either because he was sick or I was afraid for him to get sick and kept him home. Today was his last day because I advised he was not returning. Aesthetically the place looks good and smells good, but unfortunately the staff in his room were not cleaning properly—the toys and changing table. Old fashion bleach to water ratios need to be used in this state of chaos with all the illnesses going around. It started on the 9th of February where he had this awful flu like illness that made him terribly sick as well as myself, husband, and teenage son. We were vomiting and had diarrhea for days. The teachers in his class disclosed the culprit that got everyone sick but I couldn’t understand why they don’t send I’ll kids home at the first site of illness. Well a couple weeks later we have this notice go out regarding hand foot and mouth disease. My son contracted this from an infected classmate that they claim he won’t be back for a while due to recovery time. Just our luck my son was sent home today for suspected hand foot and mouth disease. He has a rash on his bottom but it has come and gone for a couple of days with use of desitin. His teachers are evening posting that t they are applying it for a few days now. I have never dealt with this disease so assumed it present outwardly on the hands feet and mouth. He has been cranky because he is still trying to overcome the first illness he contracted there. We are taking him to the doctor to get checked today. The classroom teachers need more training on cleaning and taking toys away after one child picks on them so the next child doesn’t go behind them. They should have a bin and throwing toys in there throughout the day. I had to speak with the Director because they were sending pics through the parent portal with other children present. Most often the kids would have so much snot hanging out their nose it was unbelievable. Teachers should be putting on gloves and wiping their noses. I told the director and she advised they can’t send kids home because of a runny nose, BUT YOU SHOULD BECAUSE THEY ARE SICK. I’m not talking just runny but this mucous snot. I told her that is going to get on the toys and on other kids. Moving forward I never received any other snotty nose pictures. I posted a picture of a child that they sent me a picture of and my child was in the background. This was normal to see amongst the children when entering the classroom. I think they are very delayed in identifying kids illness to the point where all the other kids are sick by the time they take action. Also, they have too many teachers floating around in and out of the classroom, that’s is not good for little babies either. I can’t speak for the older class, but I would not recommend this daycare for children that are still placing objects in their mouths. Kids will get sick but staff needs to be proactive. Daycare is expensive 356 per week to be exact especially when paying for care while your kids are out.

Ms. Bailey and Ms. Cassandra have been great as our child transitioned to Windhaven. They are both very interactive with the kids and Ms. Bailey does a wonderful job of keeping us updated on how our child is doing.

We have used Windhaven Academy for the past 3 years for both our kids. My daughter graduated from their first preschool class and attends in the summer. We love Miss Sarah and Miss Summer in my son’s class. The school offers great activities for the kids such has dance, soccer and other athletic activities. The Director, Miss India is the best along with Assia, the Owner. Our kids love going to Windhaven Academy.

I'm a first time mom and was nervous about sending my daughter to daycare. All those fears melted away at Windhaven Academy. My daughter started at around 6 months old and the staff has been so loving, kind, attentive and really made me feel they care for her. So blessed to have Angela, Janell, Natalie and now Djamila and she connected with each of them so much. I also love that now she's in the toddler transition room, they have activities and a curriculum that is engaging so it doesn't feel like they are just waiting for time to pass till pick up. I highly recommend this daycare/preschool center to anyone looking for a place that will truly care for your child and get them prepared for a brighter future.

Windhaven Academy has truly been a blessing! As first time parents, we were concerned with our son’s transition to going to school. Nia has helped him every step of the way and built his confidence and verbal skills. Makaila recently started teaching his class. You can tell her passion and excitement in teaching kids new things. I love getting personal updates on my son’s progress and pictures throughout the day. He has been a student there for 6 months and loves seeing his teachers and friends! We are so glad to be apart of this family!

Our daughter loves her teachers Miss Nia and Miss Kayla! She is always happy walking in to school and I know all the staff care about the kids. We’ve been going since our daughter turned 10 weeks and the transition was great, we will send our second to Windhaven without any reservations!

Where do I start?? Windhaven Academy has been such a blessing to our family. Being a first time, mom it was important for me to pick the best daycare facility we could find. Windhaven is it! We toured quite a few but there was something about Windhaven. Our first point of contact was the owner, Assia. I can 100% say, she's the main reason we chose Windhaven. She made me feel at ease and took the time to answer all my questions over many phone calls before our little guy's first day (he started at 8 months and is now 2.5 years). The facility is amazing and we were very impressed with all the kid's rooms and everything they have to offer across the age ranges. The food menu- A+++++! We never worry about what he's going to eat because they provide well-balanced, nutritious food that he loves. Now to speak about the teachers. They have all been so wonderful and our little guy has developed loving relationships with all of them. His teachers now are Ms. Nia and Ms. Makaila. We are going to be so sad when he moves up to his next classroom because they have been so great with him. They are very responsive on the app and we can see how much they care for him. We have started potty training and they have been so supportive of the transition. It puts your mind at ease when you know your kiddo is being loved and cared for just as much as when he's at home. Ms. Leonice has been in his classroom most evenings and she has been so great with him! I have to drop him off early sometimes at 7a and he loves Ms. Leila! She always there for the early morning drop-offs and greets him with a smile and a hug. He's always so excited to see her! The front desk staff in the mornings and evenings are TOP NOTCH! They know all the kids' names and are always greeting everyone with a smile and Hello! and sending us out with more big smiles and See ya tomorrow's! Ms. India and Ms. Mariana have been there since our little guy started at 8 months old and we've developed a great relationship with them! In a nutshell, the staff makes Windhaven feel like home away from home from the kids AND the parents. If you're thinking about visiting Windhaven for a tour, just do it! I can guarantee it will end up being your TOP CHOICE!

My daughter has going here for about 9 months now. We didn't find the class that matches her age when we started her here but the administration was kind enough to accommodate her in a class that is below her age. With that she had almost 3 class transitions, all of her teachers were very kind and patient throughout these transition periods. She has been in her current class for almost 5months now. Her teachers (Ms. Sarah and Ms. Summer) are absolutely the best. My daughter always looks forward for the show & tell, Music Monday's and splash Friday's (during the summer). Admin staff is friendly and food is great. We will recommend Windhaven Academy for any family/friends.

We recently transitioned our 2-year-old son to Windhaven from another nearby daycare. Ms. Nia and Ms. Makaila have been wonderful helping him adjust to a new environment! It seems like they do a good job balancing having structure and a little bit of a curriculum with letting kids be kids. We get so many pictures every day and honestly having the updates throughout the day of him clearly smiling and having a good time made the switch easier on this mama too!
