Had an appt with Sami at 10am. He arrived at 10:10 and sat in his car for another 10mts. When I went out to see if he was having trouble locating my house number, I saw that he was on his phone and he gave me a "hold on" sign through the window without looking at me. Fine, I go back into my house. He rang the doorbell at 10:25am. Strike 1.
While he measured the rooms in my house with a measuring tape and wrote down the numbers on a sheet of paper, I asked him a simple question - "how many sq ft is my laundry room?" which was answered with "Oh, I can't tell you that, all these measurements go into my system and it calculates". Simple question met with smoke & mirrors. Strike 2.
He gave me a quote and I told him I'm probably going to go with a different shop despite their price being a bit higher. He became increasingly upset and said he was 'really shocked' twice. Asked me for a reason a few times and wouldn't let go. When I eventually said we wanted more transparency w.r.t sq ft per room, he said he was 'honestly confused' and that since he was 'professional and showed up on time and gave me a good bid and sent a quote quickly', there is "no reasonable reason for your decision". Eventually asked me not to call him again saying I can't appreciate what he's done. Strike 3.

Sam and his crew just completed our guest bathroom remodeling and wood floor installation in the house ON TIME as per the schedule. We’re so happy and satisfied with the choices and results. It was a long 20 days journey but worth it. Sam as a general contractor was knowledgeable, patient and honest. His crew were on time and professional. His prices were competitive. I highly trust and recommend him for any interior job.

Sami helped us replace nearly every floor in our house and the quality of work and the finished product are excellent. We had a very clear schedule of when it would be started and completed. The crews were professional and did beautiful work. Sami also gave us great advice on selecting our flooring and helping us stay within our budget. I highly recommend The Flooring and Remodeling Shop to anyone looking to do home projects.

Sami just completed my new kitchen backsplash, bathroom counter top and primary bathroom flooring. He was very professional, the bathroom project was completed very quickly and the work looks stunning. I cannot recommend him enough.

I reviewed a project they completed a few years ago for a family member. I was very impressed with the quality and durability of their work, so I chose them for my bath remodel project. Visiting their Plano showroom to select all the materials was convenient, and the total price quoted was very competitive. Before the project was started, I was provided a detailed schedule of the work to be done. The contractors who worked on the project, from demolition, to plumbing, to tile installation, to drywall and paint, were true craftsmen and professionals. I was kept informed throughout the process, and the project was completed on schedule. I’m not easily impressed, but I would recommend them for any remodeling project.

You should beware of using this place for anything major.. We had used them on a smaller wood floor project prior to COVID and they did a good job. We had a freeze and water break over the last winter and had to replace approximately 2,000 sq ft of hardscaped wood floors. It was so frustrating to work with this crew this time. We had employees using our personal equipment to remedy mold under the floors, we had personally covered all the kitchen cabinets and appliances to cut down on dust and they actually cut into our plastic and used the microwave while we were upstairs in the house. Sami was the main person we worked with and is driven by the $. He is a good talker and he knows what you want to hear. Beware, he does not do the work. He wanted payment whether tasks were completed or not. They always want final payment prior to completing the job. If you use them, make sure you reserve some $ to make sure they complete to your liking. We had multiple squeaks in the floor which they tried to fix by driving nails in and drilling and injecting glue which did not work and made the surface look bad. We now have a rug over these spots. The top coat they put on was so unevenly applied it looked awful in some areas. Again they tried to fix and in some areas they did help it but some of the areas are in the main walkway that they actual made worse. We had to tell them to stop. It always appeared like they were in a rush to get to the next project. The "touch ups" as they called it took 2 weeks and as I mentioned above we had to say stop, you are not solving anything. I chose a 1-star for this post only because I have to choose something to post this. Beware.

Omar, the project manager, checked in every other day to ensure the quality of the crews' workmanship.The entire process from beginning to end was smooth & no-nonsense. We would give this company 20 stars if we could! We did a full gut renovation of our master bathroom and added a new walk in closet in our bedroom, and the experience with Sami was absolutely stellar! We had a very difficult/borderline traumatic experience with a different renovation company last year and I was SUPER nervous about jumping into another project. Sami put our fears to rest as he and his team did exactly what he said they would do, when they said they would do it, which is miraculous in the construction industry. We’re thrilled with the work and we felt the price was very fair. Thank you Sami and Omar! So thankful for y’all!!

We had an upstairs children's bathroom that had a leak in the shower pan for years, finally the water damage was bad enough that it was time to redo it. I quoted five different companies and TFRS was who I decided on. The sale process was thorough, project management was thorough, and communication from TFRS was excellent. A full bathtub sized shower with a seat was ripped down to the studs, with the old pan being jackhammered out. TFRS's application of new Hardie Board backing was done extremely well as was the new liner and shower pan. The install of the tile itself was done meticulously. All joint lines are near perfect and look great. Silicone impregnated with grout sand was also used on all vertical corner joints and around the edge of the floor tile. This allows for some house settling without cracking traditional grout. I thought this was a nice touch and Sami himself came to do the final inspection. The only rough patch was the glass install. Door was not even with the glass wall, and the glass wall had a small chip in the corner. (They went ahead and installed to make the shower usable.) Also some of the screws were not driven in straight and left not-flush screw heads on the mounting hardware. Chipped glass was replaced and seams and screw heads were mostly corrected, not perfect but close enough.Overall, using TFRS was a good experience. Their communication was always top-notch. The contracting teams used had long relationships with TFRS and were overall nice guys, respectful of my property, and were always on time. I will suggest this company to my friends.Services: Tile work replacement

I highly recommend TFRS . I had my floor tile replaced for plush vinyl. I knew it was going to be a Hugh mess and they a great job trying to keep the dust down as much as possible. They did a great job laying the floors . They were very prompt and we’re very good at communicating the schedule. The workers were very polite and extremely hard workers .Service: Install flooring

I want to start off by saying that their quality of work is good. There were some issues, but they got fixed once I brought it to their attention. Make sure to check behind the fridge and other areas to ensure all caulking, etc was completed. Also, watch for baseboards that are not cut correctly. Other than those issues, they did a great job. The area that was disappointing was their customer service. Check your contract. They talk about floor leveling bags, make sure to take pictures of all the bags used. Do not take their word for it. If you see them using bags of leveling concrete, have them show you the bags and take pictures. The contract says to confirm the bags with them and I did. It was 1 bag and they charged us for 7. My wife signed this a fews days after this was done and they were not budging. We let it go, but don't want another person to get caught. It was a shame as we are going to look elsewhere for our bathroom remodel.

Would not recommend this company to anyone. Our experience was laborious, frustrating and the end product did not meet our expectations. We had 75% of our floors redone through this company and our frustrations were: lack of communication, responsibility and poor project management. We went with this company because they promised to meet our deadline before we moved into our new home. Our floors were measured incorrectly, so too little product was ordered for them. This one mistake would be fine, but it delayed our completion by over a month after we moved in. It would have been longer because we were told the product was backordered, except that we called the supplier themselves who had extra in stock that we went and bought ourselves. If we had waited on the company - it could have been months longer. Additionally, they accepted the wrong baseboards that were not primed and their workers put them in. We pointed this out (through much back and forth) and they were only given one coat of primer painting, when they needed two to cover all the streaks so raw wood was not exposed in places. Even though it was their mistake in putting in the unprimed baseboards, they would not accept responsibility and accountability and paint a second primer coat. The entire process in between was a headache. You are better off to contract yourself or go with another company.Services: Floor fitting
