Why does this Talbots not answer their phone? The automated greeting asks you to leave a msg and an associate will return your call. ‘Haven’t heard from anyone in a couple of hours. ‘Wanted to see if they had my size before I drive 18 miles. ‘Have shopped at Talbots since the late 70s… customer service could use some “polish” from years ago.

Terrible experience at this store. I walked in with my 2 children and as I started looking at clothing, LINDA went and whispered to another employee. She then went and locked the door near me. This made me feel unwelcome and I felt as if I was being accused of potential theft. She never offered to help nor turned to speak. We left feeling awful. Returned with my husband and I noticed the same woman enthusiastically helping an older Caucasian woman, carrying and gathering things for her. So much for the inclusivity clause on the door. As a Latina, the treatment I received was not inclusive in the least bit.

I can shop there without entering a major mall. Big win for me; plus there are a couple of other ladies stores in the same strip.

I'm very sad that the Willowbend store closed and this is the only one near me now. This store, while beautifully laid out, feels like 50s America in the worst way. The salespeople are lovely-dovey and sweet only to the older, white customers. In fact, it vibes like a clubhouse where older ladies hang out. This is such a stark contrast to how people like me are virtually ignored and shooed out of the store. This has been going on for some time now, but I will talk about two instances post-COVID. (1) Picked up an online order, willing to browse the store to see if there is anything else to buy. The lady gave me the bag and followed me to the door. (2) Entered the store to pick up an online order. Wanted to wear the jacket that evening. The sales lady takes forever to acknowledge me because she is busy talking enthusiastically with two customers who are NOT shopping for clothing. All three seemed to be in the 70s or 80s. Takes forever to ring me up because she can't figure out how to do it. Must have been harder to learn something about her job because she was still talking to the two ladies. I just needed to pick up one jacket that was already wrapped and behind the counter, and I spent 40 minutes being ignored in that store. I don't shop this brand as often now, but I just put in an online order for some sale items that were too good to pass up. I hope for my sake that they all fit properly because I don't want to step in for a return or an exchange.
