Quoted $292 , only to get a email days before the appointment with a new "total" of $750 due to the required calibration and a $40 dollar disposal fee. Do yourself a favor and look up Ryan Auto Glass in Plano ! They installed and calibrated my suv windshield with the corporate overhead trappings at half the price

Had an appt for a windshield replacement. Appt was for 12pm, and I was there at about 11:45am. I was told it would be 2-3 hrs. I brought my laptop, prepared to wait, but around 12:30pm they hadn't even pulled it back yet, and I could hear the guys at the counter talking about some of their people being out to lunch. I decided to get an Uber and would come back later. Right as I was walking up to my house to unlock my door, I get a call from Safelite telling me the glass they thought they had was damaged, and they couldn't use it. So now I have to take the Uber back, and my car won't be ready. I asked if I could just leave it overnight, and could they get it done my tomorrow. The MGR , Joey Steelman, said no, they have to order a new one, and it would be a week or two. I asked about reimbursement for my Uber, since it was a wasted trip, and said "no they don't do that". I never even got an apology for the time waste, or any sort of customer service. Just an "oh well" type of attitude. I won't be going back to that location. I have now scheduled with another shop in the immediate area, who said that windshield is "readily available" and they're getting me in tomorrow. Horrible customer service at this Safelite location.

Well I'm new to Dallas and got turned around because their shop is off to the side. Hidden even if your coming up and it's on your left. Made a wrong turn and got there at 2:16 on the dot. Appointment was at 2. They said they stand strong on their 15 minutes. So I would have to reschedule... Don't worry about it. I'll let my insurance fix it.. However that was MY experience. As I pulled up I see some nice windshields that has been replaced. Just be mindful it's construction over there and they are a sharp turn if their on your right and a u turn if their on left......

The service was done very quickly on the website it says 3 hours only took them 1. Then the amazing customer service on top of that made my experience a 5 star.

TLDR: the office managers suck. Go to a different location if you need something done.
My initial appointment for replacement went fine. They weren’t able to re-calibrate my eyesight system though, so I had to schedule a warranty appointment. I show up to the warranty appointment the following week, but they didn’t actually schedule me. So I go back the next week and since I had 3 hours to spare for a 1-hour job I sat at the store. I waited for 2 hours before realizing they hadn’t taken my car back. I had to be at the dealership at 12 for something else (my appointment with safelite was at 9am) so I asked if I should just reschedule but the said “recalibration shouldn’t take long we’ll try to get it done.” They try to re-calibrate it and fail to do so (not their fault. Subarus don’t like aftermarket glass, so I’m told) I was told by the Subaru dealership that I need to request OEM glass, so I drive back to the shop and request it. They tell me they will. 2 weeks go by and I visit the shop again asking for an update. They say no one put in the request but they will now. I even got email confirmation from safelite that they requested it. Fast forward A MONTH. I call my insurance carrier and they advise they never received the request from this location for OEM glass. Insurance told me the manager at this location “was waiting on a part number” which is such a lie, because you need insurance approval before ordering the part. Or at least that’s what I was told. I took my car to another location and asked for help and confirmed with my insurance carrier that they requested OEM glass on the same day. So it’s not Safelite. It’s just this location.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Safelite in Plano. I scheduled a windshield replacement a week in advance and took time off work to ensure I was available during the designated 8-12 window. Despite receiving a confirmation email and even details about the technician assigned to my job, no one showed up. At noon, I hadn't heard from anyone, so I called customer service. Initially, they told me the technician would call me soon. After waiting another hour with no communication, I called again. This time, a representative informed me that my glass hadn't been ordered—something I was never told about previously. The lack of communication and professionalism was astounding. It's unacceptable to confirm an appointment, send technician details, and then fail to have the necessary parts. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with Safelite, and I am extremely disappointed by the unprofessionalism and poor customer service. I do not recommend their services based on this experience.

Stay away from Safelite they completely unreliable and inept. They called the day of the installation, 45 minutes after the appointment to tell me they did not have a tech available. I scheduled this appointment 2 weeks ago. When I called in the phone operator at their call center tried several times to get ahold of the Plano location and he couldn't even get through. Horrible customer service this is not the way you do business.

unfortunately the zero start option is not available. My insurnace is USAA and had to go through Safelite. Over a span of 8 days to insure the correct glass was ordered they still got it wrong. also this is my second time replacing the front windshield in 8 months due to traveling on the highway. I used this same shop for my previous replacement and used this shop again believing they had replaced it before so this will go smoother. This specific shop of Safelite is ran poorly, miss appointments, wrong glass and very difficult to speak with someone at the shop. The shop is/was so poorly managed, the manager was dismissed two weeks ago. the technician that was schedule to come out Saturday had the wrong appointment time, and came out with the wrong glass. The technician was not from this shop and was directed that he was to assist the Plano shop due to being behind. I asked for the shop current manager to call me but to this date received no calls. today on the rescheduled appointment from Saturday, the technician is from Florida and flown in to assist this shop. again my appointment was 8am -12am.... the technician calls me saying he will be at my home at 11:30am.... i guess as long it is prior to 11:59 he's clear. Just go with someone else if you can.

They canceled on me twice in one week after asking me to be available for two five-hour windows. The first time they said it was a family emergency, the second time they said they were feeling sick. Seems super unlikely that both of those things happened to the technicians headed to my appointments. I called customer service and they were super apologetic and said I would get a call back to get it rescheduled and taken care of, but I never heard from anyone.

Satellite really screwed up my windshield from a simple small Crack they caused a 6 to 8 inche fisher on my wind tech even admitted it was his error. Safelite needs to replace at their cost.
Beware of doing business with this low quality company.

Unreliable. Called the morning of my appointment and wanted to reschedule after I had already taken time off from work. I had received an email wanting me to prepay. It included a $39.99 charge for recycling. The window is missing, what is to be recycled? This company gave me a bad vibe all around.

I'd leave 0 stars if I could. Prepaid ~$600 for an appointment, 12-5pm window no problem. 0 communication on whether a tech would even show up the entire day. Dont bother with this company, they dont care about you and are here to steal your money and time.

Kenneth came out and did a chip repair on my windshield. He was a great tech, walked me through the process before he started, and did a fantastic job. Thanks Kenneth!
