The staff were really nice. However, their live animals seem to speak poorly of their care. For example the fresh water fish has several tanks with many dead or dying residents.
Also, they sell prescription pet food but none were on hand in the store. They had to be ordered.

We went in to buy two goldfish and were told we needed to purchase a tank, food, a filter, and a water conditioner. Even though we already had a tank at home, we agreed to buy everything they recommended. However, when we went to pay, they suddenly added another requirement—some pills that weren’t mentioned before.
On top of that, they kept pushing us to buy a different type of fish, even though we were only interested in goldfish. When we mentioned that we wanted to see if we could properly care for them but might not be able to keep them if it didn’t work out, they started making it seem like we shouldn’t buy them and after a long time of we had to give the fishes back.
What’s frustrating is that they were keeping about 200 goldfish in a tiny tank themselves, so it didn’t really seem like they were that concerned about the fish’s well-being. The whole experience felt inconsistent and a bit unfair.

This review is for puppy training. Unfortunately I couldn't give less than 1 star. I signed my almost 6 month old pup for a Fundamentals class. There was one other dog, which was 10 months old that the trainer pushed out to a different class. First class went reasonably well. The trainer taught sit, stay and one round of loose leash walking. Gave us some homework which we practiced. In the second class, my pup did all the commands that were taught. Then things started going off track. The trainer was trying to extend time by asking my son and I to do the same commands repeatedly. When I asked what's the plan for the other classes, the trainer said that's all she was going to teach and the other 5 classes (including the 2nd) was just practicing the same thing. When I questioned it, she said if your pup can focus when you call the name for 30 seconds straight, she's ready to do the next thing. Which dog in the world does this? and at 6 months old? She then proceeded to give me tips more appropriate for a 2 month old (cutting nails, getting her ready for grooming etc.) When I told her, she had already had a grooming session, the trainer didn't care. She basically sent us home in 30 mins (it's a 1 hour class) just in the 2nd session. We spent an hour just in the drive to and from. We haven't gone since to any of the classes and received nothing but automated "look forward to seeing you soon" messages. This was a shocking waste of money and an unacceptable waste of our time. Absolutely disappointed with Petco for the poor standards. I do not plan to ask for a refund and have an uncomfortable conversation. Will blame myself for signing up in the first place.

They are so out of stock of so many things The store looks like it's in disarray they don't even have cardboard pet carriers. It's kind of sad to see a store look like this I've shopped a Petco for years and this is the worst looking store and the worst organized store.

Manager Groomer is racist and don’t like black pet owner coworker was very nice to dog I wouldn’t trust to leave my dog and they shouldn’t make someone like her a manager

No one seems to be checking on the cats. Those babies are so sweet but they’re in the kennel all day and their litter box smells like no one has cleaned it in a long time.

Need to update their store hours. Closed on 8pm Saturday but online hours say 9pm. A good 30+mins of my night gone 😢

Petco needs to correct store hours on Google map. It closes at 8pm not 9pm. But in Google map it says it closes at 9pm. It is not hard to edit it if you are the account owner for this business (I do this for my office account) . Pls do it asap.

Carried my dog here a few months ago, was highly dissatisfied. Gave me back my dog wet and full of loose fur. Also there was a dead cockroach on the floor, when I spoke to the guy about it he said oh I sprayed it earlier...my dog or any other dog could have eaten that and become sick. Will not be back and will not recommend anyone to carry their dog there.

It is a great place to purchase sth for your little friends ? They are customer friendly and have money back policy with your receipt in 30 days. Staff is really helpful. Happy to be their customer.
