Second time the cashier has declined scanning my acct code or taking my phone number for "frequent flyer" points. Plano TX store, male cashier with slight can't be bothered attitude. Had phone out to scan code, cashier reported "don't need it, everything is on sale". Hard to get reward bonus if purchases aren't recorded!

I was so disappointed in this location. Only 2 employee working and a store full of people. It was so a mess and was difficult to shop in. What once was such a beautiful store and company to get sewing supplies is now unorganized and seemed ram sacked down every aisle. I had to get price checks on things cause prices weren’t listed well. It’s truly sad to see the decline of this store. Maybe it is just this location but it was so messy. The cashier was pleasant and respectful to everyone and apologized several times due to the wait. The man working the cutting counter was cordial, and helpful but seemed burned out. I really felt bad for him. I knew he was only doing the best he could with what the company gave him for staffing his store.

Just left the store and I’m very disappointed. Not only that all the shelves are empty also there is a guy at the checkout counter and he really doesn’t care about what he is doing. No hi, no smile, he doesn’t listen what you say, no thank you, no have a good day. Since he doesn’t listen what you say, he does something else instead and when you tell him that that’s not what you asked for he shows a huge attitude. I was very happy until I stopped by here maybe I should stop coming.

For a speciality business, staff is not helpful, certainly not welcoming, dismissive when asked for help. Staff seems to not be " crafty" but they should try to at least help with the layout of the store... . A real lack of customer service at this location.

Selection on Fabric and sewing accessories and crafts is extremely important and they have nailed it. The ladies cutting fabric are so friendly and fun and give advice I don't even know about. Micheal's doesn't even come close. I would say to do research on coupons on their app before going in because there are weeks the value is great but I happen to go when it's a bad week for coupons. Yes I'm a guy that learned to sew but to me is a nice way to make clothes you like. I like this location because I been going for more than 20 years. The paint supply however is not good here. I recommend Micheal's on art supplies or Jerry's

Edit based on recent experience. To the management @ the Plano store. Jefferson the cashier should not be working with customers. Our phone was taking an extra 30 seconds to pull up coupons and he did not like waiting. Then after we thanked Jefferson but before we walked away from his register he says - out loud to the only other customers in line “I hope y’all are prepared “. Quite insensitive and really surprising, given the majority of time we spend in the Plano location is filled with a wonderful staff of employees. Again, Jefferson really should be on a dock somewhere- away from humans as he apparently lacks empathy and patience.And yes, I will call directly to share this helpful review. It’s far too important that they know I’m not upset- just concerned Jefferson should not be with customers.

Customer Service Was unnecessarily rude AND didn’t have the inventory in stock AND rep was incorrect…. There is shipping included in ordering online.

Joann is such a fun place. The problem is that my head explodes with ideas while shopping here. I almost always find the crafty things I need at Joann.

We have shopped at JOANN for over 9 years and have enjoyed the over all fabric that is available and the service.Because we use JOANN so much the employees there know us very well as do we know them well.Well to make a long story short, I was shopping there one day and notice the lady that always help us was crying. Well I'm very nosey and asked her what was wrong. Well she said it was nothing and wiped her tears from her face and smiled back at me and said we have some new fabric in that I should look at. I continued to press her on why she was so upset. She finally broke down and told me that the corporate office had deleted her position and offered her severance pay of $3200 or a 30 % reduction in her salary. I know this lady has worked at JOANN for at least 8 years. I was shock at her response. Why would they treat such a loyal employee that way but just to save a buck.Well, my club has decided to NOT shop at JOANN any longer. We will take our business else where.

Terrible online experience. It kept giving me an error message when trying to purchase three yarns and it turns out it charged my account three times. I get to the store and the online order is not ready and they tell me that I can’t just pick it up since it’s not ready. I was in a rush and just grabbed the three yarns I ordered and had to purchase it again. The cashier told me I just have to cancel my online order. I find out I can’t cancel it and have to wait for 5 to 6 days for the online order to drop. This is ridiculous, first time shopping there and it will be the last. Never again. Google should have a zero rating.

Helen (manager) is absolutely horrible. She was coughing up a storm everywhere around the store and it was disgusting. When checking out, she insisted we cannot use our gift card. Then, she basically demanded to hold my phone to examine the gift card. When she's obviously sick. The store doesn't have redeeming qualities. Everything is extremely overpriced (clearance items especially.) Don't come here unless you want to spend too much money and get sick.
