This is more of a 3.5 star review, but I basically gave this hotel 4 stars because of the great price. I'll do a quick pros/cons list:Pros:-Very good value for the nightly price we paid (~$60 a night)-Good location in south Plano close to George Bush tollway-Free breakfast with different options each morning. They even had oat milk for non-dairy people which was great-Hotel, and our room, seemed pretty clean and tidy-Fairly spacious room. We stayed in a basic room with a queen bed-Easy check in/check out-Indoor pool-Quiet A/C unit that actually worked correctly-Lots of drawers and hanger space for clothes-Free WiFi that actually worked correctlyCons:-Our room (#133) had a loud ceiling light that sounded like a microwave oven when you turned it on. Thankfully there were several other lights in the room so we rarely turned that one on-The room seemed a little dated and obviously had several repairs that were a bit unsightly-The shower head leaked, but we were able to rotate it so the leak sprayed into the shower rather than out-Housekeeping service was kinda spotty. One day they came but didn't make the bed. Then they didn't come at all another day and we had to ask the front desk to send someone-The breakfast juice machine was broken one morning, and they didn't offer any alternatives until they got it fixed-The window seal was broken in our room so our window would half fog up each dayTo summarize from our 6 night stay; This hotel was totally adequate and the price was pretty unbeatable. The hotel could use a renovation and our room in particular obviously had a lot of maintenance issues that needed attention, but I'm willing to overlook a lot if the price is right. I've stayed at hotels worst than this that charged $150 a night, so I'll take this one.Rooms: Dated but functional

Do not trust their reservations. I arrived here late at night (1:30 am) and they told me they oversold and don’t have any rooms available. So unprofessional and disappointing and it took another hour to figure this out and get to another hotel. Do not stay here. The woman at the front also just blamed it on the “system” and was very rude overall.

We had called ahead to verify if there was a freezer, where you put frozen things, in the fridge in the room, front desk had said yes. When we got to our room I checked and there was no freezer in the fridge. I ended up having to throw away 5 bags of breast milk that were frozen because we were given the wrong information. There was hair in our shower that wasn't ours too

With great anticipation, I booked a two-night stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Dallas Plano for our Spring Break trip for my sons and me, opting for an Executive Suite and a guest room with two queen beds. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations.Upon arrival, I was informed that the suite I had booked was unavailable, despite booking well in advance. I was downgraded to a regular room with a king bed, while my sons had to wait for their room to be prepared. This unexpected change disrupted our plans and left me confused and disappointed despite the gesture of a reduced rate.Furthermore, the hotel's website could have accurately reflected specific details. While it advertises free parking, there was a $3 parking fee. The overview of the hotel states, "Our free parking and convenient location near PepsiCo, AT&T, and Medical City Plano also makes our venue a great choice for your next meeting or event."The condition of the rooms also fell short of expectations. The sheets appeared to have stains, and the cleanliness of both rooms left much to be desired. Additionally, despite requesting extra towels and foam pillows, these requests were not fulfilled during our stay.Technical issues with the internet further compounded our discomfort. Despite attempts to rectify the situation with the front desk's IT contact, we ultimately had to rely on personal hotspots for connectivity. This significantly impacted our ability to enjoy our stay and made us feel disconnected from the hotel's services. While the hotel staff displayed a level of friendliness, the overall customer service fell below Marriott's expected standards. As a former Marriott employee, I know the high level of service expected across all Marriott properties. In conclusion, my experience at Fairfield Inn & Suites Dallas Plano was disappointing, and I would not recommend it to others. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and better addresses communication, cleanliness, and service deficiencies to reflect the Marriott brand's values and standards.I will closely monitor my bank account and thoroughly review my folio at check-out to ensure the rate is corrected and no unnecessary charges are added. If necessary, I will update this review to reflect the outcome.Rooms: See pictures

Scent from the room carpet. Not over powering. Work that was painted the wrong shade of white.

The place is a dump but it's close to the hospital. I can hear people walking around the room above us. Old. Dirty.

Stayed 3 nights, no housekeeping was available. I travel for work and stay in hotels 4-5 nights a week all year long, and have stayed at many in this area. Charged me $100 for an incidental fee and will not call me back to explain or allow me to protest. I've been traveling for 10 years and have never had my deposit kept by a hotel. Not even partially. There was no damage or anything anywhere, I don't smoke. It's got to be a mistake. The walls are thin-you can easily and clearly hear the conversation next door. Unexplained charges are unacceptable and the refusal to call back from the management is unacceptable. Their are other points, but let's just say this isn't what you'd expect. Not on brand at all.

Did a couples trip here. When my boyfriend checked in he asked for the sheets to be changed and room cleaned daily. Our room was passed up for 2 days, our trash overflowing, had to get towels from the front desk. When I complained on the second day on how we were waiting to be serviced, how we heard them at rooms around us but never came to our room, she stated housekeeping was was about leave in 20 mins. One of the housekeepers walked up as we were having this conversation she stopped and talked with her in spanish I assume telling her of my complaint the housekeeper kept looking at me and even laughed! I told the clerk give me the sheets I'll do it myself! Claimed they were gonna give my boyfriend points since it was his account. This is unacceptable. O5her than that the hotel is nice, bed comfortable, breakfast was good.Rooms: Clean and comfortableNearby activities: Suburban area 35 mins away from downtown DallasSafety: Coming in and out the area was safe
