In order to make this place cost effective, they have certain unique features of shopping at Aldi. The shopping cart can be taken by putting in a quarter. If you don't have it, you may get change from the cashier.
Make sure to bring your own shopping bags or you'd be asked to buy a cloth bag unless you can handle your groceries in your hand. I saw people ripping off like empty cardboard boxes from produce or veg. sections and making them in-hand carry grocery baskets.
There's not that much variety. It's limited items and some items are cost effective, others are not. The look of the aisles reminded me of Christmas eve clothing store shelves. All empty and barren.
I wasn't too excited walking in there but then again a lot of people were doing shopping there.

With rising grocery prices I do appreciate Aldi and their variety of items and great prices.
I may not find everything I need on my shopping list but I get at least 75% of my shopping done there.
I just have to always remember to bring my bags!

Love love love my local Aldi’s. I’m almost a regular here at least once a week or biweekly. Very affordable and the cashiers/staff are quick and attentive. Produce isn’t always fresh though so keep that in mind and they don’t carry everything. I do like to go through their special “Aldi finds” that are seasonal or limited time only so that’s fun to go through. Note that their generic items are going to be cheaper than the brand-name items you see at other places. I don’t always get everything generic from here (can’t do their coffee or ranch dressing, for example) but for the most part it isn’t too bad and I can definitely feed my family for a reasonable price. Their European/German cookies and chocolate are so good too!
And yes I agree with reviewer below - their curbside pickup isn’t the best. Would rather just go inside tbh.

One of the best places to buy good, low priced grocery items.
Many of the products are store brand, so you may find a dud here and there. However, you can take it back for a refund (just like Trader Joe's). The produce section could be better, though.
If the store is out of something, try the other store on K Street. They get slightly different items based on the neighborhood.

Not a lot of choices but the prices are low. Most products cheaper than Walmart or Kroger

Dumb store. No bags, gotta pay for a cart, prices aren’t any better than Tom Thumb/Kroger and in often cases actually worse. There’s an obvious cult around this place but the bigger stores have beaten them at their own game, with the normally expected amenities.
