The young cashier was friendly and helpful. The other 2 didn't seem to like people much. Helpful, not friendly.

Aldi's is a hit or miss with me. They have an excellent chunky guacamole and tortilla chips. And the meat section has great prices. Sometimes the veggies are off though. But the prices are pretty good. Check an Aldi's out near you๐๐ don't forget that chunky guacamole ๐๐

I bought milk on the 18th opened it on the 20th, and it was already bad at the first use. Even though the best by (or due) date was the 28th.
Ruined a good bowl of cereal too.

I would like to commend the cashier, Daniel, for his excellent service. He was both efficient and friendly, and he was very helpful in pointing out sale items and ensuring the correct price was reflected on my receipt.

Aldi has been my favorite years ago and I just came back to dallas and was shocked the price has gone up and some non essential items are almost at Krogers price. Can goods prices are still competitive but I rarely buy can goods. Vegis are fresh and have
good price.

There's a lot of upside to shopping at Aldi. Specifically, the savings. There are some things you'll learn to live with if you're an Aldi shopper: you need a quarter to claim a shopping cart - don't worry, you'll get it back when you return the cart. This reduces the stray carts in the parking lot and means they don't need to employ people to collect carts during the day. Good plan. You'll need to bag your own groceries, which isn't a huge deal either. And there are some limitations on item choices - there are a lot of things you just can't find at Aldi, or if they have it, they have like one or two versions, vice the dozen or so that a larger store might have. But you really can't beat the price if you're willing to tolerate these minor inconveniences.
There are some things about Aldi that aren't really built into the design that rub me the wrong way. Often - very often - there will be a line of eight or nine customers with one register open. I understand saving on labor costs by having customers return their carts and bag their groceries, but having only one register open when it's getting busy seems like poor management. And while I get that they're going to have a limited selection to keep costs down, the number of times I've found mold and rot on the fruits and vegetables is pretty depressing. Bag salads that are brown and squishy, tomatoes that are starting to rot, broccoli that has white fluffy mold growing on it - you get the picture. As an Aldi shopper, I know to check my stuff before I buy it, but I feel like doing the quality control is probably something the store should be handling, not something that falls into the "bag your own groceries" category.
Despite the above complaints about the lines and produce, and the frequent issues with items being out of stock and things being fairly messy, I really like Aldi. It's my main grocery store, and I typically go to Aldi first, and only go elsewhere for things I can't find here. I just wish they'd up their game a little bit, take the ruined food off the shelf, and maybe have an second register opened when they see a line stretching half-way down the cereal aisle.
Overall, good place to go for shopping on a budget. Just check your fruits and veggies carefully before adding them to your shopping cart.

Not really sure what I can say. It's Aldi. If you're buying a little bring a bag, if you're buying a lot bring 2 bags and a quarter for a cart.
Besides that expect to get a good price on everything in the store. If you need something more specific you may need to go to a regular grocery chain to find it

Closes at 8pm.
Aldi has really gone downhill post covid. oranges and cantaloupe. Never buy any of these things at aldi. These items they get from suppliers who have kept them in some sort of long term storage for months possibly up to a year. So many times they are bone dry like raisins on the inside. Dont buy their grapes, pineapples or papaya either.
Theirn pineapples and papayas frequently never ripen and their grapes have strange textures. Gel like on the inside. Granted, walmart is also now stocking the magic never ripening papaya.
