My experience was unfortunately not good. I brought in two hard drives and was given a quick diagnostic. From the diagnostic, I was told one drive was likely entirely recoverable and that a majority of the second drive would be recovered.
The first drive was handled fairly quickly, and I was told it was ready and I could come pick it up. I paid the invoice, and when I arrived I was told that the drive was still copying and I would need to come back Monday. This was a pretty large inconvenience since I drove 1.5 hours to get there. I told them I would just wait to pick it up until the next one was recovered.
Months went by and I was given no communication. The couple of times I did call, I was told "Oh yeah we are working on XYX (whatever step of the process I was told they were on) today and we will have an update for you today!" No communication ever came unless I directly called to ask, and then it mostly felt like I was being lied to.
By the time came (probably 6 months) I did finally manage to get an answer that I could come get my drive, only 10% of the data was recovered and the little bit of data I actually needed recovered was not on the drive.
This was not money well spent.

I would like to share my experience with 24 Hour Data. This company is really great. If you have experienced loss of data on a hard drive, you know how stressful that can be. 24 Hour Data is very compassionate in wanting to assist you and alleviate the additional stress of a non-functioning hard drive.
They are very professional. They communicate with you the status of the recovery. And, they are very nice and patient in answering questions. They took the time to assist me and provide suggestions for future backups, etc. I can not thank them enough for the time and effort they took to recover my data. It is greatly appreciated.

As of Aug 2023, this company is not providing quality service. I had submitted a data recovery job for a laptop hard disk on June 21. This company is still sitting on it. 1 out of 12 phone calls get answered, but the folks working there have a hard time finishing job on time. It's been 50 days since I made the full payment (~$1K), still this company hasn't finished my job. Every time I manage to get hold of a person, he/she assures that job will be finished by that week's Friday. It's been extremely frustrating experience trusting this company. All my kids documents and family documents are in the crashed hard disk. With the schools opening in about a week's time, I am having hard time getting the documents to school registrar. My repeated requests to the 24hourdata (located in Plano TX) company have not been answered. People working there at this time, don't seem to have work ethics. This is customer NO service.

If you are looking for data recovery you have to check out 24 Hour Data. I shopped around at a few places and they had the best rates and quickest turn around time. They quoted me a week to recover but I had my data back in 3 business days. Great service, hopefully I won't need data recovery again but if I do I will definitely be using them again!

I would give 6 STARS if allowed. My first attempt at data recovery was through the Geek Squad. One of the most distasteful customer experiences ever was the result. The inept squad dumped 46,000 numbered files onto an external hard drive and thought they were doing me a service. A frustrating, misleading 10 week ordeal. Tracy and Dallas at 24 hour data recovered 4 times as many files in a couple of days for less money $. They are Soooo much more competent and capable. Should have gone here in the first place. Free diagnostics, excellent personal interaction and better quality recovery. So glad to have my files back. Thanks again!!

The website states 100% Guarantee, If they don't recover your data there
is no charge, but you won't get any refund if you pay them anything.
You must sign a contract and your payment is considered "commencement of services and non-refundable whether or not the requested data is recovered." NO REFUNDS. False advertising.

I would highly recommend anybody who needs to get their data back! I had a hard drive that even geek squad could not recover! I tried to other places and nobody was able to recover the data from my business hard drive. I bought the hard drive to them and within a few days I had everything I needed. I would highly recommend them!

My iPhone stopped working and the apple store told me I would need a replacement. Well I'm not very smart and hadn't backed my phone up for almost 4 months. All my graduation pictures and other info was on there. I took it in and they had it fixed almost overnight! Really nice people with a very reasonable price. Can't recommend them more. (I now backup my phone regularly)

I had a internal 9 yo 1TB PC SATA drive that could not be found upon trying to booting up PC even in safe mode. PC was dead in the water and I tried moving the drive to another slot on motherboard and hooking it up to a second PC via USB to SATA adapter to no avail. I looked at all my options and time was running out to get the data so I could complete my taxes and the drive had info I needed. My BIG mistake was not doing regular backups.... I learned my lesson. I called several local places and most wanted to ship my drive to a place unknown with a cleanroom. I knew the cleanroom was needed but I didn't like the idea of my drive floating around to who knows where since there was sensitive data on it. I chose 24 HR DATA since they do it in house w their own cleanroom. I was sooooo happy I chose them. They delivered the data on a second SSD of same size. I received 100% of my data and have been able to get everything I need off my new drive. When I picked up my data I had a lengthy discussion with the Tech on my best options and what to expect. He offered to support me for my data recovery even after I walked out the door which I did not need since he answered all my questions so well while I was there. 24HRDATA is my go to place that I hope I never need again! :)

slow response and very unprofessional after the initial consultation. I can't recommend. I normally don't write negative reviews, but I did this time because of the amount of money involved and how I feel about the shade in that place. I experienced their shadiness.
