Texas-Tulips is a seasonal, family-run tulip farm and flower nursery in Pilot Point, bringing a touch of Holland to Texas. Visitors can wander through a large, six-acre garden with many beautiful varieties of tulips to pick their own flowers. The experience is described as magical, peaceful, wonderful, and a great excuse to get outside. There are staged places for photos, and any picture taken in the vibrant fields is lovely. The farm operates with a $6 entrance fee per person, with a note that babies under one year are free. After entering, guests grab a basket, follow instructions for picking, and then take their flowers to a station where staff trim and wrap them. Tulips are priced per stem. Visitors should be prepared for lots of walking on uneven ground, and muddy conditions are common, so supportive footwear or boots are recommended. Parking can be hectic but is available. Some visitors feel the entrance cost is high, especially for those also purchasing flowers, and advise budgeting carefully as costs can add up quickly. The farm can get crowded, particularly during peak times like spring break, but the atmosphere remains positive. The picked tulips are noted for their longevity, lasting up to ten days with proper care. The business is closed for the 2024 season but looks forward to welcoming visitors back in 2025.
