I never leave reviews but I HAVE TO. I found a sweet dog and after being told 3 different times that the shelter was not in a shelters jurisdiction I called Pflugervilles. The man on the phone was so rude to me from the beginning and demanded I tell him exactly where I found the dog, I understand that is their job but he then called me a liar about where I found the dog. The worker called me a liar because of miscommunication and he asked me questions like “well why didn’t you do this ___” I’m a young girl who simply saw a lost pup I didn’t know what to do! I was upset and crying because of how rude he was so my boyfriend’s dad called and went up there with us and he was even more rude to him. We thankfully had a worker named Dave who came to our rescue! Dave was kind and he listened to us, he saw we just wanted to help this lost animal. Dave is the reason we were able to reunite this dog with his owner, wish I knew the other guys name but he was a white male late 40’s. SHOUTOUT DAVE HE NEEDS A RAISE

I don’t even know how I happened on to their site but am so glad I did! I have been looking to adopt another dog recently as I lost my baby boy of 13 years about a year ago. I was lucky enough to get this sweet tiny full of energy girl who just loves her new big sister and her new hair cut!! I definitely feel it was meant to be! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and let us do a meet and greet before we adopted her to ensure a good fit for all of us.

A few weeks ago we decided to open our home to another kitty. Immediately we were drawn to this sweet girl! The adoption process took sometime as she was just too little to be adopted out just yet.In the meantime, I had the pleasure of visiting her on multiple occasions while we awaited for the final confirmation to bring her home! The staff are so friendly, the rooms are clean and the animals are well cared for especially with the extra TLC from all of the helpful volunteers!Just yesterday, we got to bring her home and she is just such a joy to have. Welcome home Stormi Noir!Thank you PAWS!

The women who work here are very rude and obnoxious and have no interest in helping homeless animals. Rather, they like into insult you.

Adopted two 45 pound dogs here. Nice place, caring volunteers. Our two boys so well behaved..adjusting to our lives has been a breeze! They get along very well and have a lot of fun with each, our home is filled with JOY? ? ? Graham & Kane

If you are trying to be a good person and help a kitten DO NOT COME HERE we rescued a kitten and came to drop him off and we were threatened and treated horribly , questioned why we went to get a cage and bring the kitten here.I have never been treated so bad and they even said the kitten would probably be out down

The staff were so helpful when we wanted to bring our 2 dogs to meet a potential 3rd that was at the shelter. We called ahead and they helped facilitate a meet and greet that led to us bringing home our newest family member. Make sure to ask questions about meds and post surgery instructions. We didn't know he wasn't supposed to get a bath for 10 days and accidentally gave him another flea treatment bc we didn't realize he had already been treated.

I have had only positive interactions with the staff here. Often, when my dog tries something that is not the right fit for her, I donate it. This place was great at taking such items. I even donated a set of pet stairs here. They can always find a use for extra towels and blankets too as long as they are clean. If it is a hot day and you don't want to leave something outside you can call and let the staff know it is there and they will take it in. Very nice place! I like supporting them when I am in town.

Worked with them for a couple of days and I LOVE the staff and the animals! I was so sad to have to go but I definitely recommend checking out the precious animals they have! They take such amazing care of them and the animals are absolutely the sweetest!

I adopted the sweetest furrbaby in Oct of 2020.She is so loveable and I am very pleased with the facility itself. After adopting from Humane Society as well as ASPCA, Pflugherville animal shelter seems to be the best....clean facility with good accommodations for animals waiting for their forever home, with a caring staff.

Great place if you looking for a furry friendThe staff was extremely helpful n very friendly...Lots of Hellos n SmilesWould only add... bigger sign to let know people know where to goOr maybe better placement of themWas not sure where the entrance was.. but otherwise... great first time here... will come back again to adopt ... soonLooking for a kitten.. didn't have any at this time.

I called to get information on the adoption process and what it entailed on both ends. The woman i spoke to did not understand simple questions and got an attitude with me about it. They do not even deserve one star.
