I must say if this gym didn't have a dry sauna, i would have canceled my membership by now, it's a good gym gets packed at certain times, some cardio machines are down for months and they don't seem to do much about it that's why i rate it 4 stars.

Counting 4 broken cardio machines in front of me right now, that's unacceptable if you're paying $37 per month here. Very packed in here too, you feel like a sardine with little wiggle room.

My wife and I arrived Sunday afternoon at 4:30pm to walk around the gym and see what kind of membership options Golds Gym offers, and the young man at the front desk was very nice and helpful. We had a terrific chat about fitness, and I want to join Gold's Gym very soon.

Still dislike this gym tried giving them a chance months later . No one is friendly at this location .they never acknowledge you . Always talking to each other when they could be building relationships with customers .equipment is always down for months or removed. leg machines non existent more generated towards arms . Wish there was a golds gym closer to me . Just my opinion.

Worst gym that I have visited, repairs go on for months, teens smoking in men’s bathroom and to top it off, by the weekend the restrooms are not cleaned and forget about paper towels….I don’t recommend this location, best of luck..

Solid Gold’s location. Moderately clean. I have found over the past couple of weeks the sanitizing sprays have been empty throughout most of the gym when I go, and sometimes there are no paper towels in the machines to wipe down equipment. Men’s bathroom is a little messy sometimes, as men’s restrooms tend to be. The restroom have never failed to smell like a steamy bowel movement, however. I have also noticed some of the most popular equipment, such as the stair-masters, are broken and have been broken since I started attending this location about 3 months ago. I also notice a lot of people don’t wipe equipment down after use, so a friendly reminder to wipe before and after using to avoid cross contamination of whatever people are bringing in. I also notice a lot of people reserving multiple pieces of equipment at once by putting their belonging next to them and moving between them, limiting what you can use without being rude. I do recommend this location as it gets the job done just fine. Classes are great, with friendly, professional trainers, and front desk staff are always nice and welcoming.

This is far and away the worst Gold's gym with a 512/737 area code. Believe you me, I don't like writing negative reviews, I try and work out the issues directly with the business if at all possible. As others have mentioned, there is but 1, yes 1...elliptical left at this gym that is in acceptable condition. The other 7 or 8, the footholds are incredibly loose and wobbly making it not only uncomfortable but also potentially dangerous (maybe I'll get an early retirement through a settlement?) Here is my timeline of trying to work this out with the gym: I began my membership at this location in November of 2023, I brought to their attention (front desk) in December 2023 the poor shape that their ellipticals were in, they said they'd pass it along to management. In January of 2024 I received a survey request for this location. I left the same feedback on the survey. I was VERY impressed I received a response within 15 minutes from the manager at this location indicating they were aware of the issue and had ordered the appropriate parts for repair. 4 months later (April 2024), ellipticals are still in terrible shape (are these parts on one of Elon's rockets from Mars?), I again bring it to the front desk's attention, they'll be sure to pass it along. Here we are in July with no progress made. This is completely unacceptable for one of the more expensive gym memberships. My side hustle takes me all over the Austin and College Station area, so I've had the chance to try out most if not all of the area Gold's over the past year. Rest assured, Pflugerville Golds is hands down the worst location. My absolute favorite is the Hesters Crossing/I35 location in Round Rock. I do anything and everything to avoid going to the Pflugerville location which sucks...its less than 2 miles from where I live.
Other big issue is the shower situation. In the mens, one of the stalls is completely missing the knob, and another falls off if you don't press in while you are turning it. The water fountain water is also warmer than the shower water. So incredibly disappointing. Only positive about this location is the front desk staff is INCREDIBLY friendly, most greet you on arrival/departure.
Gold corporate: If you read these, please send someone out to look at this gym, it is tarnishing the brand name, as soon as HT fitness is complete in Hutto I will be switching my membership same day.
HT Fitness: If you read these, for the love of all that is good and holy please hurry and finish your location, Hutto/Pflugerville desperately needs a decent gym and the bar has not been set high.

Great gym, I just don't like that they no longer have kids club.

They need to have someone start telling people to stop sitting on the benches, lifting weights for 15 seconds, and then staring at their phone for 5 or 10 minutes in between sets. You hedge a sign in the wall that says no phones, maybe enforce your rules. Almost everyone just sits there on their phones on the equipment.

I have been trying to cancel my membership since August last year. Called and was told I would have to be there in-person or I could use the online chat function. I chose the online function and did it multiple times since I no longer live in the area. There was no response, so I signed up for online membership access to submit a request that way... no response. I then started responding to all of the no reply messages. Finally, decided to just block the auto-draw from my account. Then, the late notices started. I finally resorted to going through the app support team who gave me an email contact to finally cancel. So, I have now been sent to collections for an account I have tried to cancel for months. In my opinion, there seems to be a concerted effort to keep people from being able to cancel immediately in order to milk the autodraw as long as possible. I have seen other comments on here as well. Very shady practice. I will be sending all my documentation to the collection agency whom I should never have had to deal with in the first place.

It would be better if they repaired the inside of the structure. Put a tarp over the wall for months, just dosen't do it

Extremely Poor. The policy on recurring payments is such that when you cancel (and you must physically SIGN a paper to cancel), you must always make the next payment, no matter what it is for, nor what the amount is. This is NOT highlighted and amounts to a deceptive business practice.
Edit on 2024/05/28: just got nailed with a late fee because my credit card expired. No warnings. This company slams you with fees if you blink. As noted on other reviews, go elsewhere if you have the option, which I do not.
