I'm a sephora girl but ulta is closer. They don't do samples, and they are pretty pricey for the experience you receive. Ulta is cool but it can definitely improve.

Terrible customer service. Was looking to return some products that I paid 100% with my card and was told by Tam that I had to put some of it on a merch card. When asked why, she stated she “didn’t know why” and “didn’t know what to do”. Unprofessional, Baybrook location is much better.

I got a relaxer in the salon and my scalp is covered in chemical burns after the new girl got ahold of my head. I have never had an issue with a relaxer here before. She should not be let anywhere near a relaxer again.The salon manager was unavailable so I spoke with a store manager. She took my number. No one has reached back out to me.I paid $87 for my relaxer. My hair is matted to my head with chemical burns and it bleeds if I try to brush it out.Remember to ask if the person doing your hair is in training. Don't unknowingly be the guinea pig.

I went in for a particular shade of urban decay foundation-it showed this particular location has it instock. Everytime I asked for help from said they don’t work for ulta just a particular brand (frustrating). Finally found someone behind a stand that couldn’t answer my question bc she had a mouth full of food… she laughed it off but I was frustrated. She then tells me they don’t have any of it’s not on the floor. So I then asked if someone could match my skin with a different foundation. Another lady comes over and begins to pound on my face with foundation…. She didn’t ask if I had anything on my skin nor did she wipe it with alcohol to clean the area she’ll be applying foundation. I look in the mirror and asked what was the base of the foundation and she looked at me as if I cursed her out. I will tell anyone to never go in this particular location ever. Customer service here is piss poor. Take the drive to Kirby. However, I’ll be going back to Sephora from here on out

I placed an order on line for hair products that were on sale 50% off last Tuesday. When I was checking out I placed my order and I was 1 minute too late and the online sale had ended (at midnight) and my checkout time stamp was 1201 am and this caused the prices of the products I was purchasing to double to their original price. My Ulta CC was charged regardless and I was not able to cancel my order. I went on the live chat the next day and the rep told me they can’t do anything nor cancel my order (weird?) and to wait for delivery and test my luck in person lolI was very frustrated about this but still went in person to the Silverlake location.It was a very busy store and I waited a while to get to the register. Luckily the manager , Ramon- was there and I explained what happened. He was extremely kind and courteous, and understanding of my frustration online. He made an exception and honored the 50% sale on my transaction and refunded my card. He totally made my day! Way to go Ulta - for having kind and understanding managers on your team!
