I do not recommend this childcare facility. The current management/owners are a joke. They do not care about their employees nor the children in their care my four month old daughter has been coming here since she was six weeks old. The teacher’s in her classroom were propping her bottles not feeding her every three or four hours as discussed, they were feeding her, every time she cried, which would cause her to spit up and vomit horribly. At one point, I was told that they could not make bottles if she were to run out! The classrooms usually out of ratio at one point. I’m pretty sure I counted nine infants with one teacher when it is supposed to be one teacher per for infants. There have just been too many red flags. Please do not enroll your children at this facility. It would be a huge mistake. I loved miss Jay she was awesome she is now in the wailers room and miss Felicia but they have caused her to leave the daycare!

My children had been going to Stepping stones since 2016, since they were 2/3 - now 9/10 my youngest was there since he was 6 weeks old (2021) 2 now.April 2023 my 1 year old was purposely placed, by his classroom teacher, outside the class room, in the hallway alone crying. *I have the video footage of all of this*If it wasn’t for the director at the time hearing his cry’s he would have been wondering the building alone.I was not notified by management or the owners ( who by the way never introduce to the parents when they took over, had no idea for 3 months) it was until pick up when a teacher from another class informed me.Atleast 1 month prior to this incident did I call and speak to the manager at the front about some issues with the current teacher - which were brushed off saying “we understand your concerns but we can not just fire a teacher for no reason” when in fact 3 other families had called and reported concerns about that teacher. After the incident with my son, the daycare placed the teacher on a “cooling off period” which lasted 2 weeks and she was back in the same class. This facility does not care about the children, as they are only seen as paychecks. The owners have other facilities and are not too worried if this one gets shut down as they have others. They were reported to the state.

Gonna do a bit of an update from the last review I put: A teacher at this establishment grabbed my son very roughly by the hand due to being 'told' to by one of the managers, my son said she squeezed his hand really hard and that it hurt him but she didn't let go. When I told the manager about what happened, all she said was she would talk with the worker, and she gave her a warning. When I told them that I was not happy about them not doing more and that I was still upset about him being grabbed for no reason, Ms. Fairy (one of the managers) said that I should 'take him out of this daycare and put him in a new one' since she 'did all that she could'. going to be completely honest when I say that this daycare should not be ANYONE'S first choice due to the negligence and disregard for the children's safety here. I now go to work worrying whether or not something worse is going to happen to my son considering I wasn't allowed to look at the footage to see what really happened since the tv and cameras aren't even on!My son has been going to this daycare for 3-4 years and it honestly has really gone down hill. The current ‘managers’ are useless and don’t seem to really care about the children at all, seems like all they care about is ‘keeping customers’ but they don’t listen to the parents when they have complaints about what is currently going on. The school agers are in a small room instead of in the big room they are supposed to be in. The cameras aren’t even on due to the tv being pulled down from the front wall with no explanation. How are parents supposed to know what happens to there children when they get hurt if the cameras aren’t even on?? Like what is going on with this daycare and why has it gone down hill so quick?? Those managers or whoever they are seem to think they know everything but they really don’t. I honestly wouldn’t recommend signing a child up here till the cameras are at least back up again.

yes there is new management but yes new management is doing good amount of renovation and trying to take any action with in their control. There are number of people working there and we have always seen when new management comes old staff or parent don’t like the new ways they work . They are in confort zone with old things going around …. Expected…… but for me. This people are really very helpful working hard to change Wht ever in their control.lots of new staff with lots of training I see them always on top of the staff about things. Lots of new staff but yes no lack of staff as it’s mention.

Its no wonder the old staff walked out. This place has gone down hill ever since new management took over. Whatever you do, DON'T send your kids here. I've witnessed teachers hitting kids, kids being in the classrooms either by themselves, or all age groups shoved together like sardines. The new owner, "Ms Fairy", or should I say Ms Facist, completely ruined this place. You'd be surprised what goes on here behind closed doors. Ms Fairy, if you're going to reply to this comment with the classic fairy attitude, don't even bother.None of the teachers who used to work here even liked you, and neither did all of the parents who pulled their children out because of you. There's a reason that the amount of kids enrolled here got cut in half.Shout out to Ms Cathy, Ms Felicia, Ms Jay, Ms Pam, Ms Kailey, Ms Abby, Mr Jason, and Ms Jordan. Miss you all.

My children (6 and 2) have been at stepping stones for a few years now. When my 6 year old started at 3 years old he was always doing a fun activity and learning so much to prepare him for kindergarten. The staff has been lovely, especially Miss Jay and Miss Felicia.

Usually I don’t like to speak ill of places but please be careful putting your children into this facility. My 2 and 1 year old went here and were immediately pulled once I saw that my babies were sitting outside during a thunderstorm. Absolutely not. This place is extremely understaffed, it was literally the same four teachers for all the children from 6am to 6pm that’s insane. They are tired and I’m sure overwhelmed which was leading to poor choices.I hope whoever is in charge of hiring more people your teachers leave and find better well paying positions elsewhere. With how poorly this company is being ran there needs to be some serious changes or it needs to shut down before a child gets hurt.

This is an update from a previous 5 star rating: This place has really gone downhill the past year and it shows. The new management that took over has ran this place into the ground. So sad because Stepping Stones used to have a great reputation. None of the old staff remain. The fun energy that once was when you walk in is no more. All the teachers look miserable and stressed. What happened to this place?

They have an employee there who yells and screams at the top of her voice at all the children all the time, and the director condones the behavior because "she has been here for 25 years." It's not okay. Keep your children away from Mrs Cathy. They are okay with her verbally assaulting your children. 52 deficiency in 5 years and multiple violations! As noted by Texas Helth and Human Services website. Look them up.

I waited 4 years to write this review. My son was enrolled at SS in the pre-k class. We were getting calls at least once a week that he was acting out. Things like sitting off by himself and refusing to participate, not listening to the teacher, talking too much, etc. Granted, this isn't good behavior and we spoke to both him and the staff about it. However, we also knew my son is really smart and he was in a class where the kids were left to just run around. He was bored. We asked multiple times for him to be moved to the room where the kids were actively learning things to prepare them for kindergarten but were told no. We finally got called for a meeting with Cathy and Melissa. They told us that the teacher had a hard time with Flynn mostly because she had an unmedicated anxiety disorder. (Awesome choice for teacher of 4-year-olds.) We strongly reiterated that our son should be moved to the other room so he could be intellectually engaged and were again told no, saying "When he goes to public school, they won't accommodate those types of requests so it's better for him to get used to it, now.Cathey talked about her effed up kids and how her daughter has anxiety so she understands what the teacher is going through. Yeeeah, I don't give two donkey dinkies what the teacher is going through, she can't manage her class so she has no business watching children. Also, it's super unprofessional to tell parents about a teacher's personal medical issues.Melissa talked about how she was pregnant again and how she spanks her kids and it's just such a shame that the state won't let them spank the students.Such great role models for the kids there. Two days after the meeting, we were told our son was no longer allowed to attend SS. We picked him up, enrolled him in Silverline Montessori (which is an AWESOME place - highly recommended!), and he hasn't been in trouble since. He ASKS for math to do when he's bored. He's currently in 3rd grade and reads on a fifth grade level. But, sure Melissa, maybe I should spank him more.To whomever runs SS, if you have a single brain cell in your skull, you'll either bring back Ms. Kim or hire someone else to replace these two chuckleheads ASAP.And Cathy, if you're reading this, the next time I see you driving the SS bus to Massey Ranch with your cell phone in front of your face, I'm calling the cops.

I brought my daughter here from the age of 3 until she aged out. The staff is attentive and truly caring. Management is top notch. The curriculum is great. I recommend this daycare to everyone.

Do not go to this day care if you have a special needs child! I have an autistic 7 year old who had no issues at his previous daycare. When you go in to visit they will tell you they can handle your child, however they will tell you later they cannot devote special attention to your child's needs. They are severely understaffed, a 1/20 ratio for every classroom, so how could they possibly handle anything extra! Also the doors to the outside are not secure so your child can go in and out freely, which is not safe for any child, let alone one with special needs!

The most amazing, caring, clean daycare I have found. I put my daughter in April 2017 after having a horrible experience with a previous daycare down the road. The management is extremely accommodating, nice, attentive and understanding. They are quick at responding to emails or personal requests. An efficient system has been created to ensure every child is looked after with love and proper engagement all within a safe clean environment. Many times I would walk in the lobby and view the cameras to my daughter's room (1 yr and later 2yr room) and I would observe the learning activities, the teachers mannerisms with the children, and cleaning procedures. Not one single time was I disappointed. Kids are wiped down and cleaned after crafts and lunch; daycare has monthly activities and weekly themes to participate in; outside play areas are extremely well maintained. The daycare is next to a creek and often we saw duckies waddle by and it was either a great way for my daughter to start the day, or end it. I moved to Dallas 6 months ago and I have been trying to find a suitable daycare that is *affordable* and has all the great qualities that this Stepping Stones location has. Sadly, I am still on my search. New to the parenting life, I am absolutely grateful that I have an awesome daycare to set the standard of what my child needs.
