Was able to find what I was looking for (various glassware) but customer service was severely lacking. We had to wrap and box everything ourselves

Goodwill, for me, has always been viewed as a place that was meant to help others especially those in need. I'm saddened by the sight of the impulse purchase racks at the checkout. (like a dollar general store) I went in looking for a pair of shoes and discovered that all of the one's in my size were $20-$30....my issue is who goes to Goodwill to pay that much for secondhand merch. We can buy relatively low end NEW shoes for those prices. To end on positive note the staff at this location are super.

My experience was today the Jan 28 my wife and I are moving and had I truck load of nice paintings power tools dishes and random boxes of great condition donation ideas we wanted to see reuse so we drove to the Pearland location pulled under the cover just as in started to sprinkle outside at about 9:50 the guy came out and said we can't take it it's wet we said no we got lucky it's dry it has not started raining yet and he replied no it's all wet we can't take it so in disbelief of what was going on we drove across the street and donated the dry load to forgotten angels. So we will never be back no worries ?

The Goodwill's purpose is great.I believe the ones I visited in Lexington SC had more items, but it all depends on the donations.

The selection was for the imagination. Great stuff. From converse to polo boots, can find just about anything in good condition. Brand name purses and gold rim China sets. Liz Claiborne, to Anne Kline blouses and dresses. Grabbed some for self and left a few to share ?.

I have been in thrift stores in various states and locations, including many Goodwills, but this store is very poor. Having worked in retail I was shocked to see such poor merchandising. Various issues:1. Clothes are sorted by COLOR and NOT Sizes for the garment type, making it a waste of a lot of time trying to find something you like and that fits you.2. Kitchen and other home goods are piled on top of the clothes racks completely disorganized and makes the store look like a flea market or something.3. Few if any tools, home improvement items, home electronics, small kitchen appliances that you see in other Goodwill stores. The "forgotten angels" store across the street is very well run and is a much better option, as is the Salvation Army. This Goodwill does NOT earn the name "Select" its a terrible example of what not to do when running a thrift store. I could not leave fast enough, while you may find an bargain its not a good shopping experience.

This is a very large Goodwill compared to others and is full of treasures. I think the pricing is pretty fair for the most part. I have had good luck buying shoes here. I have also found clothes and hardline items. The hardline pricing can be all over the place but there are still really good items to be found. My last trip I found a Jean skirt, cute top, 2 pairs of shoes (looked brand new), 3 hardline items and a purse and it cost me under $30. I would recommend a visit. It's also conveniently located with the Salvation Army across the street to make for a full day of thrifting should you wish.
