Full disclosure: I Became the General Manager for SWS in January 2024. Prior to January 2024 they have been one of my preferred vendors for nearly 10 years. The people here are wonderful, from the owner to the staff, and I am proud to be a part of the team as we move forward and grow. This is a small local shop that has handled some big projects. We are in the process of growing and taking on new challenges. We have experience working with schools, fire departments, hospitals, contractors, refineries, train yards and manufacturers among others. Come see us! We're more than happy to help you or to steer you in the right direction if it is something that falls out of our wheelhouse.

Called to ask about some antennas for COMMERICAL communications (specifically 154mhz and 800mhz) was rudely told that they don't deal with amateurs and to find somewhere else. I was thinking maybe he was confused what I was talking about, so I took a trip over to Pasadena to talk to him face to face. Even brought in my Motorola XTL 5000 (800mhz) to see if they had a replacement power wire and also to pick up an antenna for it. Then I was also confronted about they don't deal with "amateurs" and "good luck finding what I needed at the CB shop". So I gave it about a month, drove the Fire Depts Booster Truck, aka small fire engine, there in uniform. Was very nicely greeted with smiles. Got my 800mhz, VHF antenna, new power lead and some coax. It sucks that I had to go thru all that trouble, and I know I could of went on Amazon for them but I wanted to make sure it was the right stuff. So was heading for zero stars but I finally got what I needed. Review is a few weeks old, but y'all should know before even calling. He only "deals in commercial" so I guess since the fire department isn't "commercial" but "public service" he let me slide this one time.
