If you want to get hurt , you can come to this gym ! The cable broke while I was working out and I got hurt ! Don’t even try to go to front desk , all they say is “I’m sorry about that” .Oh ! And the new rule of “ you can’t check in 1 hour before the gym close “ it’s total b$I’m so mad ! I’m was going there to get healthier not to get hurt !Where can I leave zero stars?

No entry 1 hour before closing because God forbid your staff has to ask someone to leave after closing time.Also the female janitors spend 90% of their shift cleaning the men's locker rooms. Once spent 3 hours working out here went to the bathroom 3 times everytime a woman janitor had the area closed off.

Everything was good until they set this new rule that you can’t come 1 hour before the gym close .It is not for what I paid 3 years ago.I’ve been in this gym for some time and this is affecting my schedule.Totally disappointed.

I swim for exercise. I use the swimming pool primarily for my 50-minute workout. The locker room and pool are clean and maintained daily.

I joined this gym using all Active and Fit through my health plan. Can't comment on member services and the whole sign up process for joining the gym directly. Only used the pool and locker room so far, but this is a really nice LA Fitness -- lockers are really nice, everything looked clean, pool was in great condition (though strongly chlorinated, which I don't mind). There's a very good handicapped accessible shower, with plenty of space to move around and a large bench, handheld shower, regular shower and grab bars. I have back issues, so I greatly appreciate handicapped accessible facilities.

They recently banned gym bags from being on the floor and require them in lockers, which I find odd as I see multiple people that like to bring their own equipment in their own bags, and now no longer can because of this stupid rule. I personally bring a really tiny bag to put my wallet, phone, keys, and earbuds case in. It's so small, that it doesn't even block any walkways and is kept close to me at all times. Yet bags are now banned, so yeah I'm pretty annoyed, especially with an expensive gym like this. Don't really want to buy a lock, just to lock up a few small items, that I'd prefer to keep on me anyways.

Edit: I've been happy until recently. I have started swimming to learn and the main reason why I joined this gym was that it was CLEAN! I dont know what changed, if anything, but I see hair, gum, candies, bandaid, tissues. It's just disgusting! Women, we are NOT filthy pigs! Clean up after your dirty selves!!! Anyways, I have seen maintenance come to clean but I don't know how often or how thorough they are. It's gotten really gross and I'm uncomfortable walking barefoot there. Even at the pool. I have seen the pool boy clean the water by just running a machine, but how often is the water itself fully cleaned/replaced? Also the sides of the pool are filthy too. I see the same trash that was there the day before. I really liked this gym. For the absurd price tag it should be kept up to the highest of standards. If you are out on the floor with weights/machines it definitely looks better but be ware of the pool and restrooms!This gym isn't very big but it has so many of each machine that I've never had an issue of waiting at all. Plus even at times it's busy there is still enough scarcity that it doesn't feel as intimidating being full of people.

This is by far the worse front desk service of all LA Fitness in all Houston area locations, this pertains primarily to the morning service as this is the time I visit. The service for the past 9 months has been non-existent. For the existing LA members let you facility know about the service so that the establishment can fix the situation. The service here has NO “acknowledgement”, NO “have a good workout”, NO eye contact, NO “Good Morning” NO INTERACTION whatsoever. Putting your scanner on the counter, continue to watch social media and not acknowledging the member is unacceptable.Front desk is the face of the company, first interaction with their members. I have brought this up to the facility twice and no clear outcome that is will fix the situation not with me personally but for this location. This issue was brought up six months ago and was addressed, it was a tad bit better for one week and back to the normal rude behavior.This comes down to the management team, listen to the members, bring up the issue, have warning and consequences and address the problem as needed. Domyour due diligence, check cameras, ask your morning members, or even ask corporate to do a survey. Once in a while the behavior is tolerable, as people we all have our own personal issues but nine months of the repetitive behavior is just not right.Think - what position is csr front desk? Happy smiling, contact service, fake it even if you have to smile service. I’m sure LA Fitness didn’t hire someone to play on the phone during the shift to bring this attitude.Well, to be honest, local mgmt did address the issues, they pointed out to the intended front desk that I was the person to address this issue. That person now knows who is complaining and my service from the front Desk is solved but they does not do justice for the other members of the facility, I have nothing personal with this person and nothing against that person. If I was managing the facility I would have done better than treat this as an isolated incident. As very recent changes has seen that I am not the source of the problem but I am trying to do a service to the company. Anyways I have send in my cancellation mail, I will not be coming to this particular gym.On a bright side, As overall LA Fitness is pretty good, it was just this particular gym that bothers me a little, I am contemplating about canceling still because as a whole most All LA fitness facilities are satisfactory. Best regards to all

i love the gym . the only thing i hate is that we pay a yearly service and a lot of machines are not working or ripped very often . they should also put the rule to only use one machine and not two at the same time .

I am looking for a gym, and so I went here to inquire about their membership. I asked them to tell me what made them different from every other gym. Couldn't get a straight answer! The facility looks nice. The men's locker room was clean. Ultimately, I didn't sign up because I didn't feel that I got very good service.

Last night There was a male staff member that walked into the womans locker room without announcing himself prior to entering and it was before closing time. He went in to tell us to clear out. Which we WERE all out before 11. I had just showered and barely finished getting dressed, had he walked in even seconds before, he would have walked in on me undressed. There were still people working out too, again it was before closing time.Ridiculous

Has a lot of equipment but the swimming pool is super nasty even feeling so much bleach, my husband and mom got a ear infection on separate occasions.
