Friends Insurance (Pasadena TX) Is totally incompetent, and should not be selling insurance. I went in to get insurance coverage with Progressive on a new car, and the "agent" didn't know anything about what she was doing, and she wound up putting our two old cars on the new policy also, never mind that those two cars were already covered by our older Progressive policy! So, we ended up having two Progressive insurance policies on the same 2 cars at the same time (paying to insure those cars twice, along with insurance agent fees added on too!) I only discovered what had happened after logging onto Progressive and discovering that I had TWO progressive insurance policies with the same two cars on each one. Outraged, I immediately called Progressive's toll-free help number to get this mess straightened out, and to get a full refund on the policy I had bought from Friends Insurance (and had only kept that policy for a few days. Save yourself a lot of wasted money, time, stress and grief by staying far, far away from Friends Insurance Agency in Pasadena, Texas!

They only steal your money, don't go there, they are super irresponsible, when you call, no one even knows what they are doing, they leave you on hold for more than 30 minutes, they canceled my insurance for nothing, they didn't notify me, I spent 15 days with a canceled policy and everything was paid. I realized that it was canceled because I was going to make a payment and among all of them they are covered there, no one knows or what they are talking about or to notify them, they were good, they only made me lose my money

I am sharing my personal experience with Friends Insurance as a warning because I don’t want other people to go through what my family did.We’ve been insured here for years and the amount we were paying for car insurance was ridiculous. Almost $1,300 A MONTH for 5 people. No one believed me when I would tell them that price. My friends and family recommended me to do a quote online so I did and I was quoted almost HALF of that for the EXACT same coverage amounts and with the same company, Progressive.This is where it gets even more absurd. When I went in person to cancel the insurance, the agent sitting in the back corner of the 3 desks (had business cards that read Maribel), said we owed money which didn’t make any sense. Turns out, SHE HAD PULLED UP THE WRONG ACCOUNT WITH THE SAME NAME. In Pasadena, TX there's going to be a lot of Spanish names like Maria but this was such a careless mistake that was going to cost us AND the other person's policy that she was going to cancel! To make it worse, Maribel cancelled our policy without asking us first what day we wanted it to take effect so we had to fix that mistake on our own. Maybe Maribel was having a really bad day but that shouldn’t have been a reason to act so disinterested and annoyed with our case.Lastly, I want to say that if you have older family members that end up doing business with them, please go with them. I believe that my parents allowed Friends Insurance to charge them so much because they didn’t think they could find a better rate somewhere else (or especially online!) They might get sold into buying higher coverage rates out of fears that the agents create.Thanks for reading my review and I hope this helps someone! ??

9 am been calling and went straight to voicemail several times as if they weren't open. Called at 9:30 am and still had to wait for someone to be available. Business times need to reflect accurately. Either come in early to setup and take customers at the exact opening time, or change your business hours to reflect what times you actually use.

So I called to get a "on insurance about 10 minutes before one and they said that they were closed for lunch so I called back 15 minutes after 1 and nobody would answer it goes to voicemail service and has you go through every person that works at that office and nobody picked up for 15 minutes I went through each name and nobody picked up so to me it's like they don't wanna work or They don't want to provide people with the service that they're offering. They seriously need to change their voice mail and pick up the phone.. u are losing out on money and getting bad reviews.
