I don't know where to begin with this review. Theft is the main word that keeps repeating on my experience with OWR. Disappointed is an understatement and infuriating doesn't touch the anger Im feeling. 2 years... 2 years and TENS of thousands of dollars we had our GMC 100 at this establishment and what we received is a bed with 2x4s holding it up (crooked), a dented fuel cell that is way too big (thus the 2x4s), paint chips, tiger stripes, runs, and jagged body work. Not to mention the lies told to keep us appeased. They told us everything was running only to finally get fed up, go pick up the vehicle and find out that the fuel tank hasn't even been connected. No fuel has ever entered that tank, so how did it run? No brakes, no lights, hanging wires, "brand new" carpet that looks worn, "brand new" seat that is dirty and not installed properly. Bed and body arent even on the chassis correctly. I feel like they took our money, paid for other things/people then held our vehicle hostage. Communication is non-existent. We would have to call from other people's phones just to get an update from them. They argued that they just needed two more weeks with our vehicle, at least ten times. Two more weeks would not have even been able to complete this vehicle. We have to do a complete repaint because the hood doesn't even match the body, which doesn't even match the bed. We have three different colors on one vehicle.
They will "accidentally" run your credit card. But they'll send you a check when you call them out on the money taken.
I won't even say proceed with caution on this one I just say do not proceed.

If I could give them a minus star I would. I let them work on my 1970 SS el camino. This was a huge mistake. The longer it stayed in the shop, the more damage was done. They were supposed to have fixed my instrument cluster gauges, install a stereo, and repair a dented fender. While it was in the shop, they managed to crack my original windshield, and adding a few door dings. They called me to pick up the cart stating that the work was completed. The color on the fender did not match the car, there was not a single gauges that worked in my dash , the stereo did not work, they chipped the good paint on drivers door edge and tried to hide with touchup paint and I could go on. I ended up taking them to small claims court. I would strongly advise not to ever give Old Ways Rod any thing to work on ... period! Worst experience I've ever had with a so called "business".

TOP NOTCH effort's at this place of business. It's nice to know that a person can take their "Street Rod, Hot Rod" and get it FIXED whereas other so called Rod Shops just jerry-rig a fix and it is no good. These guys really put in the extra effort to fix it right. I take ALL of my toys (5) to them to fix em

This is a Great place to have work done. They pay attention to detail in every part of the process, from disassembly of the vehicle to reassembly and final delivery.

My father and son picked this establishment to restore my grandfather's 1979 ElCamino. My son was quoted a price for removal of engine and transmission then to install rebuilt engine and transmission along with the other miscellaneous. This was quoted April 6 2021 after a year of no progress he made the decision to pickup the car and look for someone else. When he picked it up the car had the transmission removed and rebuilt was not even installed (So no idea if it actually works) To not communicate or even make progress on this car is unacceptable not to mention my son gave them alot a of money (for a young military soldier) that he saved while he was in basic training. This shop owner did not prove to be very reliable. NOT ONLY did nothing get accomplished they didn't reimburse this young man for what they did not accomplish. Would not recommend at this point
