I just left the Paris Texas Brookshire's. I used the self checkout today, as I have many times before. During my check out I was talking on the phone to a daughter, and it was NOT busy as I was one of the few checking out. I had items in the upper and lower areas of my cart. While I was scanning items from the top section, the lady "supervising" the self checkout area came over and asked if she could scan the items in the bottom. She also asked if I needed the items bagged and I said not the larger boxes. (It was several boxes of freezer pops only). She didn't bag any, but didn't think anything of it. I finished the top items and paid. As I started to leave, the same lady rushed up and asked to see my receipt "to see what the pops had rung up". She then informed me that I HADN'T PAID FOR THEM! My response, as I did a SECOND transaction to pay for them, was that "if I had been allowed to ring up my own items I would have known that those HADN'T been scanned". I felt embarrassed and set up to be treated like a thief. I can only imagine how many people this has happened to.

Racially profiled us, don’t go here!! Staff are completely rude, went to the store with my brother he was buying beer, I bought food I needed. They asked for both of our ids (my purse wasn’t with me) not sure why you need two IDs when only one person is buying beer. Proceeded to say because I drove with him they wouldn’t check either of us out, then tried to call the cops on us, bunch of Karen’s up in that store it’s hilarious

We stopped to cash a 27.00 check from VA. We couldn't get an electric wheelchair, not charged. They came out to vehicle our vehicle and verified my identity and cashed my check. They went above and beyond customer service. This is what good old fashioned customer service is all about. Thank you Brookshires. Great job!

Easy to shop here. Friendly people. No long lines. Produce is so so though. If your going to use it the same day you SHOULD be fine, BUT just be picky. I THOUGHT I was & by the time dinner came around my tomatoes were getting a little soft on me. Overall great atmosphere.

It was nice to find a local grocery store and be able to find a few snacks and drinks for the road without having to shop at the big national chain store. Friendly folks and a clean store, thankfully the girl at the checkout asked if I had a shoppers card and when I said I lived in North Carolina, she ran the "store" number so I could get the discount. That was nice. Otherwise, prices are high.
