I attended Thursday night Dance Fitness class by Christine (5/28) and loved every minute. The playlist was perfect to help really get into the workout and the dance movements were fun and energetic. She was an amazing instructor!

They are friendly, very clean, and thorough in their explanations. It seems like a great place. I look forward to working out and doing the classes with my favorite instructor Christine on Thursdays at 6!

Thank you to everyone who has said nice things about me in these reviews while working at The Maverick. I loved my time there and miss all of the Maverick members. I wish I could say nice things about TexasFitt but I cant’t, I’ll leave that to others. Too bad it ended the way it did, so much to say, but I think you all know how it was and still is. The gym deserves much better than what it has now and so do the amazing members, at least the ones that they didn’t run off. Austin is treating me much better. Stay healthy friends!

I’ve been going to this facility for two years and they’ve always been friendly and helpful. I don’t go to the gym often because of life but I enjoyed every time I was here and they’re always working to improve the experience.

TBH the gym needs to drop the price of current memberships due to the pool not being there anymore, but this is not a choice considering there is hardly anyone in the gym. One of the trainers that always wears a hat has a landing strip for a hairline. Maybe it's time for some hair plugs.

I live pay check to pay check and found TexasFitt out of my budget. There are better options in the area. There are reasons for so many negative reviews. Their so called weight loss solution is just selling products that fundamentally aren't permanent solutions. Science has evolved and the gym has not caught up. The gym is inadequate and lacking cleanliness. Employees do not stay long. The classes are lackluster. Bottom line is they need a meeting with get up with time.

Tbh I have a laundry list of complaints but haven’t made a review until now. The pictured roach has been getting smushed into the CARPETED locker room floor since before my workout yesterday so 30ish hours at least. Matches the level of effort put into equipment maintenance tbh

Wish they still had a pool and spinning. My son loves it. It's small and family owned. Great for silver sneakers. Racquetball etc.

If people have not figured out the 5 stars yet then they are lost. The staff does not stick around, much less being able to brag on them. If the staff is so great why not call them by their name.I have waited months for management to fix the machines and the bathrooms are dirty…. It’s time to cancel. If you need to find a gym in the area look elsewhere. The YMCA is down the road. I have actually looked into starting my own gym in the area. Someone could easily steal half of their clients.

My experience at Texas Fitt was underwhelming to say the least. As a 27 year old male, I was hoping for a gym that would motivate and challenge me to achieve my fitness goals. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The gym is unclean, the equipment needs updating and in need of maintenance. I found it difficult to find the equipment I needed to complete my workouts, and when I did find it, it was often in disrepair. The atmosphere is not very motivating, and the staff seemed indifferent to my needs. I found the class offerings not very challenging. I also found it frustrating that the gym’s hours were not accommodating to my work schedule. Overall, I would not recommend Texas Fitt to anyone looking for a serious, results-driven gym experience.

Pretty chill gym and one of the only in the city with an actual good free weight area. Plenty of squat racks and open space where I can deadlift or practice the Olympic lifts (snatch, clean & jerk) in peace, which is why I initially got a membership here. Hard to find a place to do power cleans! There are fans so better airflow than other local gyms which is nice.Gym is pretty friendly towards Powerlifting, olympic weightlifting and crossfit + okay with chalk(!) So long as you pick up after yourself and don't make a mess. Dropping barbell weights (deadlift/ jerk/ clean) seems fine so long as you aren't bar spiking and being a general walnut about it. Be considerate/read the room.I see a lot of people complaining about "old" equipment, and I take it they've never stepped foot in any gym other than lifetime? The equipment is almost all hammer strength or vintage nautilus which is such a damn treasure lol. Great barbell selection (2 womens 15kg bars!)Bathroom is fineUpstairs area is nice to stretch out amd warm up at.I really enjoy this gym. Its relaxed and caters to everyone. My only "complaint" is some barbell's sleeves of the bars becoming stuck/gritty as the bushings/bearings accumulate dirt; the gym doesnt open til 10am on sundays. I always wanna go at 9am lol! They could probably use at least one more bench rack, and I'd cream my jorts if they were to get a reverse hyper and nautilus pullover machine, but they've got everything else.Much better though than any chain gym in the area and more affordable than a powerlifting gym, my gf and I pay somewhere around $75/mo for 2 memberships and texas FITT has AC! So 5 stars :)

Guest visit Saturday 6/17/20203 Guest fee 10$ (but first visit is free) Would recommend this gym. Cool, 90s vibe on the equipment, clientele. Very slow paced, open, welcoming vibe. Good equipment choices including plate loaders. Free WiFi.
