We have been going to SmithHarts Texas Grill for many years since moving to the area from the 'Big City'. Have probably been there 3 dozen times over a 6-7 year period, but we don't eat-out much. The staff are usually friendly and attentive. Food it always 'good', and the order is usually correct. Chick fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans and white gravy is the best! Get the fried green tomatoes with homemade ranch dressing or the fried pickles with ranch dressing as appetizers. In response to another earlier review regarding 'racist', gimmie a break...seriously? We have been there dozens of times and had black, white, Hispanic, male, female waiters/waitresses and servers/host/hostesses. All great! Advice: Stop looking for problems where problems don't exist. You are just trying to get attention and make a place look bad when there is nothing to be seen, but your insecurity and own prejudices...

Which case pretty cool place and small town type stuff it's got a couple RV parks there got a pretty good a friend of mine's wife manages them so of course I'm going to say something good about him but no they're good they are country RV something else I don't remember the name

Lunch!! The food was Horrible !!Greasy!! horrible waitress. Will never eat there again!! would not recommend!!!!

My friend and I are hispanic and we went to eat at Smithhart's. A blonde waitress came after awhile to take our order. While taking our order she kept looking at her watch and wasn't very friendly. Several other people came in way after us and they got their order pretty fast. Our order was simple didn't need much preparation time. The waitress never checked on us if we needed anything or to bring us more drink. When I paid I was going to complain and was told that was the owner's daughter so there was no use in complaining. Never have been back since. My hispanic cousin and his caucasian girlfriend went there and the same thing happened to them. When they saw other's getting their meals first, they paid for their drinks and got up and left. don't understand their attitude since salvadorians work in the kitchen and cook. Imagine how they are treated?

The positives: the servers were pleasant. The salad was good and sizable. Side dishes were okay. The negative: seating, service, and food delivery was slow for a nearly empty restaurant. Steak was undercooked and over seasoned. I will give it another try, but just get a burger next time.

Good food and prices. Service need a lot of work, the staff isn't very friendly. Needs to pay attention to guest ordering and not other employees.

Apparently this restaurant has been here for many years, serving the American classics and doing it well. The food was good, the service was quick and the price not too bad. What else could you ask for?

If you're in Angleton and wanting a good steak without leaving town then this is you're place. I've always had good food and service here!

The service was excellent and the food was great!! We were seated and had our drinks, then had fried cheese and stuffed jalapeno appetizers which came out before the meal - always better when you have time to enjoy them. I had chicken fried steak with fries and salad. One of our group had shrimp Alfredo with penne pasta, and the other member had chicken Parmesan. All plates looked great and tasted even better! Our waiter ensured our drinks were refilled as needed without hovering, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
