Gail and the other coaches are fantastic! Both my kids have learned so much. They look forward to going and would go everyday if they could. I’m so glad I brought them here and will continue doing so.

Like other reviews, my child was also traumatized from this experience. They took her out in the middle of the water where clearly she was uncomfortable. She was very young. We only went for 2 -3 lessons and it took her 1-2 more swim seasons to not be scared of the water -after previously not being scared!! They did not refund my money for the lost sessions either because we could not return.

If I could give negative stars I would. My daughter is traumatized from her evaluation at this place. They have no actual structure of how evaluations should go. Please don't bring your kids here. Customer service is horrible on top of the lack of safety procedures for evalutions. My daughter cried all the way home and refuses to get back in a pool.

First off, I will say that I have almost never felt strongly enough about my experience with a company to leave a poor review. I believe that most companies try to do what is right and circumstances lead to outcomes that often times are out of their control. To put it bluntly though, The Pod and its staff, continually offer the worst customer service that I have witnessed in The Woodlands (all industries). Im not basing my review on a single experience. We have had three children attend lessons at the business. On multiple occasions with each child, we have faced situations where the staff was rude, unapologetic, unhelpful, etc. They overcharge customers through billing mistakes and rigid policies. Their staff often shows up late and cuts time from the lessons. They refuse to work with scheduling conflicts and/or changes. Above all, they bring a level of customer service that truly shows a disdain for their customers. If this review persuades even one person to avoid the horrible experiences that we have continually witnessed in our dealings with Gail and her staff, I will consider the time that it took to write it a success.Whatever you do...find a different provider of swim lessons. This company survives because of the limited choices in the area (that's why we stuck with them despite the perpetual horrible experience). They are horrible to their customers and, frankly, they just dont care what you or I think about it.Horrible company through and through. PS---watch your credit card statements.

Both of my boys took the infant swim survival class here and have continued to take lessons for the past few years. Our goal was to develop them into strong, confident & independent swimmers at a young age and The Pod has definitely provided the instruction and programs for them to do so.They are the only swim lesson school that I know of that will start babies as early as 6 months and teach them how to float to survive. Many other places will allow you to start your kids young but they are classes that require the parent to get into the water to teach and the setting is more of a group class. That is not what we wanted. Here your child gets 1 on 1 lessons and training until they graduate to group lessons where they continue to work in groups of 2-4 with a teacher. We highly recommend The Pod if you want your kids to learn to swim!

Absolutely HORRIFIC customer service from the woman I spoke to, trying to find out what availability there is (or is not) for an infant aquatics class for my 7 month old. I get that infant swim classes are basically more competitive for slots available than preschools in Manhattan, but the woman who I spoke to was incredibly, mind-blowingly rude about it. From the get-go, she misspoke about times available, stating infant classes started at 9 am, when apparently their only infant instructor starts at 10. When asking about waitlists for evenings after 5, her answers were only a curt “months”. Ok... how about doing a 9 am some morning until I can get my son into a 5pm onward, “well that’s not gonna work.” No help, no suggestions, no information. I asked, ok then when is there availability? Again curt, “there isn’t.” No other information... how about what your shortest waitlist is? At this point, I got off the phone as soon as possible with her. On the premise of this interaction, which may be indicative of their higher than thou attitude toward families and customers, I will definitely never be interested in taking my children here for swim lessons. Disgusting.

We started here with the intention of just giving our 2 sons (5 and 7 years old) lessons. They learned so much and so fast, we ended up putting our other 2 kids in as well. At the time, our youngest was 16 months old. Wow! It was amazing to see how much she learned and in such a short amount of time. We all sat on our day of lessons watching babies learning how to survive in the water. Totally blown away!Although the classes are short and it is not one of the less expensive options as far as swim lessons go, I would still highly recommend this place to any parent, especially with young kids.Personal Experience --Our youngest was in lessons for 2 months, then winter time rolled around and we stopped. When summertime came around the next season, and NO swimming for her during that time (a good 9 months), I knew it was worth all of the money we spent. She was at the pool with her grandparents right when it opened. She did not have her floats on yet and was so excited to get in that she wondered over to the steps to walk herself in (now only 2 years old). She got to the 3rd step and lost her balance and in she went. Right away, almost as instinct, she did exactly what she was taught and turned over to her back and floated in the "Starfish" position and began to kick herself to find the side of the pool. AMAZING!!Thank you so much for what you do. Our family will always be grateful.

This place is the best! We love Ms. Sara. It's so good because the initial lessons are 1:1 until they learn the swim float swim technique. I've seen babies from 9 months to 5 years doing this on their own. Facilities are clean and staff is friendly. Highly recommend!

Love Gail and her staff. We have been with The Pod for 5 years and I can't say enough good things about their program. Both my kids have found a love for the water!
