Found a cat half dead on my walk today. Took it over to the shelter because I already have 3 cats. I was harassed after I refused to give out my PCI information. They only need my name, address and phone number. There is no reason to give them information that the can use to open a credit card. I hope that poor little cat will be fine and I will never ever take any animal there again and for the way I was treated by the girl behind the desk I will never adapt a pet from there either. Totally upset to be treated like this is a police state.

Calls police and makes it hard on people who need to surrender their animals due to circumstances. Suggests other options, but after other options have been considered in the past and this is it; they still won’t take the surrender. Also Racist, got the whole facility involved, and took a picture of me. Not professional and will call 911 after you insist that you’ve tried other options and need to surrender your pet.

Grat place. Good people. Hard to get a person on the phone and their hours are very limited, but they're when you catch. Lots of extras free for your new pet.

Terrible. Found a lost dog in my neighborhood and since I'm unable to contact owners or keep it until the owner is contacted, I took it here which was the closest open shelter near me and they refused to take the dog and told me I had to take it. Very rude. Do not recommend.

Amazing staff and the sweetest pups! Our dog Stitch was truly a blessing to our home and we couldn't be more grateful for the team taking care of our boy!

Took my kitten in to be fixed and 2 hours later they called and told me she passed away. Terrible place with no real reason but “it’s rare but happens” don’t know what they did but only got to have her 2 months. We loved her and our cat bonded with her now she’s not coming home and he will never know the reason why. We trusted them to take care of our baby and they let us down. She was so little she didn’t deserve to die. Bye Lylya we love you always.

Dedicated staff, clean facility and animals all look well cared for. Shelter is always in need of donations. Blankets, towels, cat and dog food is always needed.

Emergency dispatch wouldn't take the two stray dogs we saved because the shelter was closed. They told us to release them back where we found them. That was their solution instead of taking in the dogs. That was so disheartening to hear, do better.

Wish I looked at the reviews before wasting my time. It’s literally storming today. Found a cat that was caught in a possum cage. Took her there so they could hopefully find her owner. Instead they refused and basically interrogated me. Like ma’am I don’t want this darn cat. It ain’t mine and I’m not keeping it at my house. Isn’t it their job to check for a chip and locate the owner? I don’t understand how you can be so rude in this profession. Trying to do something good but they wouldn’t take her so she just gonna be let back outside because it’s no my problem. They are animal control and should do their job

Went to adopt a dog. Found one that caught my attention and we went to meet him. Fell in love. Grabbed our current dog for a meet and greet. The yard was causing a lot of stress and anxiety on our dog from the smells and they kept shoving the other dog into her face causing her to snap because she didn't like it. And they ignored that and said it was crucial to see if she was reactive. But she was only reacting to them causing her a little discomfort. Went for a walk and she calmed down a bit and actually tried to get the other dog to play with her but they pulled him away. Kept saying it wasn't a good match and that she was unfriendly. They were definitely going off based on her breed.Very very snobby. We went ahead and adopted the dog and they have been perfect together. Things are rocky but she's being very good and hasn't done anything but tried to play with him. Overall, had no idea what they were doing and mentioned that this dog was not good on a leash but he was perfect for it they just kept carrying him around everywhere. Very happy with him and a few of the ladies there were actually really nice and helpful. This dog will definitely have a good home here. Trust your gut and instincts and not just what a few people say.

Will not take in dogs or strays. Beware of the civilians standing around inside trying to convince you to contact "Rescues." You're paying this shelter with your Tax money, but they are not providing the services you're paying them for.

Rosco, Alex, and Roxanne… all 3 adopted from NRH Adoption facilities. They each all 3 have their own personalities and love them all. This adoption facility is one of a kind. The people there really care for the animals and give them the best opportunity at a second chance possible.

The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the animals, the shelter is clean and the dogs are very well taken care of. They worked hard to match the dogs to the right families with detailed descriptions about the animals. We are very thankful to them for helping us in selecting the newest member of our family
