“This place has a nice area where you can hang out, have coffee ,and get a healthy lunch. The drinks and food are pretty good and your patronage helps to feed those in need of help in the community . I particularly enjoyed my cold glass of rosemary, mint iced tea The staff is super friendly and helpful. Even if you're not a local you will feel like one there. The Dapper Cafe /The Awareness Project is an asset to the community. I highly recommend.”

“The volunteers were very nice and helpful. We were there to get some groceries at the food bank. We needed a little help this month to stretch our SS checks. Got a lot of food; much more than we thought we would. It is Christian based but no pressure to come to church or anything. As we were leaving they welcomed us back any time. They also have clothes to look at if you have a need.”
“The Bob Jones Nature Preserve is the ultimate hiking place where you will get to experience long, beautiful nature trails with an abundance of big trees, as well as stumbling upon Grapevine Lake itself while you are on your hikes.Near the nature center and the western end of the preserve, you will on occasion get to see deer roaming around, especially during the spring and summer. There is also a botanical garden beside the nature center.For those who love horses, you can actually see them grazing by behind the rails across the parking lot.You will enjoy this gem of a place if you love nature!”

“Every person here is passionate and loving towards bunnies. They go above and beyond to care for them so they never feel neglected again. They have a process to adopt to ensure the bunnies will go to a proper home, and you can also buy rabbit supplies here! I also get my bunny Basil’s nails trimmed here. Couldn’t recommend enough! Note that they are only open on Saturdays to the public.”
“Long post but I swear it's worth it. I feel super compelled to tell you about something that is INCREDIBLE that I discovered by accident. I promise you this is truly the best pet parent tip you'll probably ever get. When we were considering adopting this former stray, I was concerned because we had always adopted older dogs and never had a puppy. I wanted to make a plan for his every need. I called our vet just to get a ballpark on what the expense would be to get him all 3 rounds of shots and get him neutered. I was shocked when they told me that his first round of shots would be $400. JUST the first set. Then, to have him neutered would be an additional $500-$600 and even more if I wanted him to get pain meds! (Like who would put a dog through surgery and not make sure they were comfortable afterwards?!) I didn't know any better and almost bit the bullet and went with our usual vet. SO HAPPY I DIDN'T! I just happened to check to see if the cost would be the same at other vets in town and was BLOWN AWAY when I came across Texas Coalition For Animal Protection. (They have locations all over.) For ALL 3 rounds of shots, microchipping, and neutering with pain management after, THEY ONLY CHARGED $150. $150 TOTAL FOR EVERYTHING!! And they have great reviews. We have had 4 vet visits with them and I'm over the moon happy with every single person that we've met and the care they provided my Banner baby every single visit. They also offer ridiculously low rates for your dogs & cats to get their annual vaccinations, dental cleanings, and heartworm testing/preventative. (I mean, less than $75!) Look them up. I sincerely cannot say enough good things about them! Most affordable and the most wonderful service for the State of Texas. Donate if you can! They're remarkable!!”

The instructors are all very careful not to push us past our limits. The other members are VERY friendly, helpful, supportive and non Judgemental. I actually LIKE going there to workout. “Let me tell you about this pantry – it’s a freaking game changer. For a guy like me, a disabled vet juggling the wild ride of borderline personality and the daily hustle to keep the fridge from looking like a ghost town, finding a place like this is like striking gold. It's not just about the grub; it's about the vibe. Walking into this place, I felt like someone hit the pause button on my world of worries. It was like they had a sign at the door saying 'Leave your shame and guilt here, buddy, you won't be needing those'. Losing over 100 lbs since this whole circus started, my backpack of shame and guilt was heavier than a lead singer's ego. But in this pantry, I felt lighter. For the first time in what feels like a gazillion years, I felt at home. These folks didn’t just hand me food; they handed me a slice of hope, wrapped in dignity, with a side of ‘you got this’. No pity stares, no condescending nods, just pure, unadulterated kindness. And for a guy who’s been through the wringer, that's like a breath of fresh air in a smog-filled city. So, hats off to this pantry. They're not just feeding bodies; they're feeding souls. And mine just got a Michelin-star meal.”
“Total 5 star facility. Cathy works the front and makes sure you have everything you need. Lots of questions to answer -- it's best to answer them online before you enter the facility. Carter BloodCare has an app for that!Next you head in for a preliminary test. This makes sure your blood is within certain levels and is more likely to be accepted.Then it's on to a nice comfy lounge chair recliner, where you get set for the needle and bags. This facility has a large screen tv, so we got to watch Godzilla movie (with Jack Black). Snacks are provided before, during, and/or after. Granola, Oreos, nutter butters are just some of the goodies. They'll keep you hydrated with Gatorade, water, and Powerade.You can sign up to give blood or platelets. If accepted for the platelet donations, they offer up to $100 per donation.Each month Carter Blood offers a different handout. This month was specialized tshirts. When she started kinder at school, she wanted to go back here instead. I honestly feel like my family is there, helping to raise my daughter. They have gone above and beyond to help myself, and others, when in need.”
“I really enjoy shopping here. Items are displayed and staged nicely. The store is always evolving giving new and fresh decorating ideas. I believe in their mission, and believe it’s a great charity. Laurie ( The Manager) is always available and helpful with an excellent support staff which includes Emily and a nice young man. I forget his name. Watch for sales as they change constantly and follow them on their Facebook page. Seriously run, don’t walk to get your next treasure!”
