I've been coming to this store since the day I moved to Newark. Almost every day, sometimes twice a day. We spend a lot of money in there...gas, cigarettes, dip, snacks, drinks. This evening I pumped 60$ in gas, then headed to the store to get groceries only to find out Texaco charged me 100$ and I had to put some stuff back and go back up there. I had ZERO CLUE a gas station would charge you more money and then hold it for hours or days. Last i checked THATS CALLED STEALING! If that wasn't enough, the ladies who's work there, who are usually so nice, turned real quick when I all of a sudden had a problem. Said it was my bank, and Texacos fault and then made me out to be crazy because I didn't know that was a "thing". The little guy who cleans started getting mouthy from across the store. They refused to help at all, refused to help find a phone number for Texaco. We will no longer support this Newark small business. We will now do all our business at the Eagle gas station. Ridiculous. It's 2023...you don't take extra money and hold it.

I been here more then once I lived in Newark for 4 months now, I go up there last night and of course I didn't bring me ID they have already ID me 3 times before then after that they new who I was, but I go there last night and get my swishers like always then she wanna ask for my ID I said I been here multiple times u have seen my ID before I am 24 years old then she wanna be like ye well I haven't ID you since the new law you got to be 21 to buy tobacco I was like okay but I'm 24 but she wouldn't get off the gass about being 21 to buy tobacco, she was having a bad day so she had a attitude with every customer that was in line before me and included me I didn't appreciate that
