Choose when they are open and what customers they let in. Absolutely horrible store. Edit to add. Doors locked at 6pm on June 27th. I wasn't allowed in because it was "too hot". But two other people were allowed to go in.. one to "piss" as he said. The other a young lady I left as she went in and doors locked behind her.

Store opens hour later then other store with same name plus been few time gone in middle day an doors be lock but yet say open how down store remain open since they never have doors unlock

needed cat food for emergency kittens the store locked there doors 13 mins before the store was supposed to close and 4 employees walked passed the doors and ignored me! Really BAD customer services I will shop at at dollar general for now on!!!!

The Newark family Dollar is amazing their customer service skills are out of the roof and I'm so love that store. LaKara is an excellent manager and she's gorgeous!!

For the staff...dogs are not allowed in shopping carts. Its a health code violation. And if that guy had a real service dog he would know that. Now that i know you regularly let the dog in carts i dont think i want to use them. Service dog or not, it shouldn't be in carts.

Some of the staff is amazing, others not so much. It always seems to be the same lady with pink hair working when I stop in. She always is very nice and helpful and knows where everything is at it seems. I think she may be the store manager. Other staff always seems to be outside smoking or in the office when I go in other times and always seem more interested in their phone games or each other to be helpful. My suggestion is go during the mornings when the pink hair lady is working for a good experience shopping here. The rest of the time you might as well be in the store by yourself figuring out where things are with no knowledge.

I truly love this family dollar, I drive past the F.D. in Boyd Tx to go to the one in Newark. The people there are so kind. The lady with the kind smile and very respectful demeanor I believe her name is Amber is always so fast to help in anyway she can. My Dad is a disabled veteran that doesn’t get around very good anymore and every time he goes in there she’s almost at a dead run to help him. She has no idea how much that helps and the way she treats him just makes his day. The people at the Newark store are so kind that my Dad makes up reasons to go shopping there. I highly recommend this store the kindness and respect they show their customers is up and beyond any expectations.
