Terrible management. Kicking people out of their homes illegally without proper notice, and violating HUD and Fair Housing Laws

Great community to live in! Apartments are spacious and well maintained! The property is clean, looks nice, and anytime there was an issue, it was resolved quickly. Management has always been friendly, kind, and willing to answer any questions I might have had from the very beginning!

I lived at The Sage for 2 years, and in that time the only complaint I had was with the dryer in the unit. I would have to call 3 or more times for the maintenance to fix it properly. The new manager Edyn is a different story. I moved out this past weekend to move closer to my job. I spent a lot of time cleaning the bathroom, window seals, baseboards, counters, refrigerator, moping and vacuuming.
I have no problem with the charges for carpet cleaning, drip pans, Paint or sheetrock damage. My problem is with charging me $200.00 for HEAVY CLEANING. As you can see by the photos taken by Edyn, Heavy cleaning was not needed. When I called to dispute the charge and spoke to Edyn she said the apartment was covered in dust, which was just NOT true, and she said that there were cobwebs in all the corners. She also told me the AC filter was dirty and implied I did not change the filter regularly. Again, not true. The AC was leaking which I discovered when I went to clean the closet to move. Any of the office staff could tell you that I stopped by regularly in my 2 years there to get air filters. Maybe if management would have serviced the AC at least annually there would not have been a leak. Very disappointed with this charge and the way I was treated.

This is not to say necessarily that living here at the Sage is bad. It's quite nice, really. The amenities are much nicer than what we'd get in Michigan. But one lady in particular in the office I always dread speaking to--the hispanic lady, I'm not sure her name. She is so unbelievably rude and it doesn't even matter if you're being confrontational or not. I went in asking to get my key fob reprogrammed since they were repairing the gate, asking nicely to have it done and immediately she starts blaming me for being late by a few days. My husband and I work 12 hour shifts 6 days a week, and rarely have time to go out and do anything during the week, let alone read emails and go out and do stuff besides the bare neccesities like eat and sleep, then get ready for work. She was like "ya'll are putting us behind schedule coming in late trying to get your keys reprogrammed". Have a little empathy!! Understand that not everyone is on the same schedule as you!! Some people actually have to work long and hard hours for a living just to be able to live there and actually afford the rent. I can't believe how she put me down like that. Will be avoiding her like the plague and only talking to the nice lady that works in there.Update: they fired the rude lady. I appreciate them trying to make things right with their tenants as much as possible. I still would rather talk to the other lady all the time--she is so much kinder. I think Mary is her name.

I live here right now and they have threatened to evict us several times when we have communicated that we would be late. We’re in a pandemic and times are rough give us some slack! These apartments are beautiful but over priced and not worth living here. They only care about your money nothing else.

Don’t be fooled by the beautiful apartments. I have not had my ac fixed in a month. The manager is never in the office. I spoke to her several times and even asked for someone higher up and she told me that information is private. When I asked about my ac she said she was unsure and any repairs I had done through an outside entity, would be upTo me to pay for and No reimbursement would be made ! Not even a credit ! I have called 3 times today and each time I called the phones were disconnected. I have tried getting the owners to recognize their managers complete lack of respect or empathy for their tenants. The owners seem to care even less. I will be making a call to the better business bureau to file a complaint. Victoria has never received one late payment fromMe or my family . In fact the one time I was charged late fees for late payment it wasn’t even my fault . The manager applied my rent to another persons account ! Then after a week of calling and walking down to the office she told me I needed to provide bank statements And that “the next time it happens” I should be more prompt in reporting it ! Think about the last few sentences .... should it happen at all ? Should I be to blame ? When my lease is up I amPacking up and moving elsewhere . I’m sure I’llHave to fight for deposit considering half the appliances in my unit aren’t working and haven’t been serviced. Brand new appliances and the manager has no care in the world to fix them .. not to mention several tenants have 4 or 5 dogs And 6 people living in a 2 bedroom unit and the single floor unit they have is surrounded by feces due to the pets. Not sure how this person is management material . Please Don’t be fooled by the reviews who say the manager is a beautiful and kind soul you have to be able to speak to someone for more than two minutes in your one year lease to make a decision like that. I had a better experience in Afghanistan than I have had my sixmonths here.

From the start this place has been a hassle. At first the apartment had cracks all long the ceiling and wall lines and when we asked for a repair they said okay but 4 months later we have yet to see them fixed. The doors don’t lock and are leaning over so they don’t close right we even had an issue where we couldn’t lock the front door from how bad the hanging was. They came and gave it a temporary fix but have never fixed the main issue. The front end gate electrocutes you every time you use it, they tried to mask the problem by putting a rubber on the numbers but if you touch the metal you will get shocked. The pool gate never works everyone has to either open it from the inside or leave it open. The exit gate occasionally breaks and not to long ago it closed on my vehicle and damaged my entire side. They claim to not be responsible but who will be responsible for damaging an entire car due to a faulty gate?
