Out of all the times I’ve visited, there has never been a bad experience. I love taking my son to see and pet the fur babies, sometimes feathered ones too.

The pets for sale here are kept in unacceptable conditions. The cages for the domestic birds, rabbits and Guinea pigs are all dark, small and overcrowded. Several of the birds’ cages have no perches for the birds to sit on, and they just huddle on the floor with no toys or stimulation. The manager stated the aviary manufacturer just doesn’t supply them anymore- unacceptable excuse. There are plenty of adjustable perches that could be used to make these animals comfortable, some they sell within the store. There are negative reviews calling out the poor animal welfare for pets sold at this store going back 5 years, and it is still going on today. It is unacceptable for this to be happening in a local store in the city of New Braunfels. This issue is being pressed further.
