Loud, uncontrolled and unmonitored chaos. The staff do not appear to enforce any type or good order or discipline. Staff were always sitting, on their phones and not interacting with or watching the children. An argument could be made that they are updating the children’s profiles on their daily activities but this was not the case. Staff do not assist the children when they ask for help. The rooms are blasting with loud music and screaming children under no control; allowed to do whatever without consequences. This behavior is probably contributing to society’s hyperactivity issues. There appear to be no educational activities, no progress reports, and no updates on your child. At the end of the day, if you ask the teacher how the day went they routinely said they didn’t know any details of your child.The front desk area is frequently left unmonitored/unattended. Do not let proximity to neighborhoods appear convenient. Stay away if you care about your child’s safety and wellbeing.

This place is really amazing, I work here and it is an honor to take care of the children, all the workers are very professional and the work environment is very pleasant and welcoming, it is the best place to take care of your children

My 2yo has been going here for almost a year. What I love about it is the lovely ladies that are with him for 8 hours a day are usually the same. Not a lot of turn over in the staffing makes it really nice so he’s use to whoever is with him and doesn’t have to be re-introduced to new people that often. Also, typically when I have a question any time of the day they are quick to get back with me. Thank you NBA!!

NBA is truly a gem. I feel at peace dropping off my daughter every day. They send you updates throughout the day as well as pictures. They are usually quick to respond through the app and will go above and beyond for your needs.

I had previously called and made an appointment to tour the daycare. When I showed up to the appointment, there was nobody at the front desk. I tried calling the office to let them know I was there for my tour and no answer. I felt absolutely awkward just standing outside trying to see if someone was available. There was nobody around and I wasn't just going to stand there like a creep waiting for someone to come show me the daycare. Either they are so short staff that the administration has to help with the children or they just don't care about new customers. No matter the reason, it is a big concern for a soon-to-be mom!!

First off let me start this review off with the fact that i was an employee here, everything that i write is from a infant teachers POV after working here. So lets begin with, do not expect your child to be givin there medical treatments or medicine even if its docotor required and a note is given stating they need to be given, because the managment team WILL NOT GIVE IT!!!! You can call for a restroom break for hours and they'll laugh and say ''we didn't hear you'', you can ask for time off due to family deaths or emergences and they will run their mouth about you behind your back, the changing table in the infant room doesn't have any safety straps on it, one of the bottle warmers is broken, I asked numerous times for my pay stub info while employed and never got it , then had to fight tooth to nail to get it after i quit, finally got it and was promised my clock in and clock out sheets by the owner Paul and still have yet to get them, the infant room wreaks of urine, employees working in there have asked for new cribs and none were given, the only benefit of working here is the children and the other workers i had gotten to work with and make friends with, management is horrible and so is the ownership of this place.

I waited outside for our appointment for 25 minutes (113 degrees real feel). Upon calling the office for the 6th time (not on site) we were informed they were “working from home” how can you work from home in a daycare…. Finally a person walked by to give us a tour. The playground is a few unkempt weeds and baking swings (one pair). Tour done. The care and service here is less than pathetic. I can’t say enough negative things about this abomination of an organization that is supposed to care for children

My daughter has attended The Rec center. They provide a safe, loving environment. Swimming has been a wonderful asset to this program.

I can't speak to nor understand any negative review for this facility. NB Academy has been so wonderful to our child. Our little one has loved and become attached to every teacher we have had so far. Our LO can now identify numbers, letters and many shapes I myself don't even know. On our days off they beg to go back. I will forever be grateful for the care and compassion these ladies have given to all the children in their care. They are professional, informative and show such great compassion. We adore this place. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you NB Academy for all you do.

I have 3 children that went to New Braunfels Academy starting at about 7 years ago. They had a director change a couple years ago and it went downhill very quickly after. The owner's took more of a roll being in and around the daycare and they are absolutely AWFUL. My son was hurt during the time he was at daycare and everyone denied any wrong doing. When asked to see the camera footage we were of course denied. I reported them to the state and even had a detective look into the case. The detective told the owner to make sure that nothing happens to that footage.. that he would like to review it and of course the owner agreed, but then the footage "timed out". I spent $300 at the doctors office for his nursemaids elbow (happens when someone yanks on your kids arm and pulls it out of socket). There were multiple different stories from the director, owner, and the teachers that work there. They are literally the WORSE. Please do not put your kids there and if you do.. be very vigilant and trust your gut when you think something is not right. I should've listened to the other parents when they told me that the owners only care about money.

This "daycare" is going downhill. Myself and other moms have discussed this daycare on our group pages and many families are very very unhappy. The staff is always short and the kids are constantly not in their own classrooms. They do not keep up with parent communication with the app, and say they are too busy. It's always an apology but this constant staff shortage reflects on this daycare. The staff all look stressed out and the director (I don't know her name) she constantly laughs things off. They charge families that have left and don't refund them for what they took out. It's a mess of a daycare and I'm very surprised it hasn't been taken out. I am writing this for a friend with a child there that has no other choice but to keep them there and doesn't want to say anything because she is too kind hearted. I hope this daycare can start stepping things up, it's very sad. Also, kids are being yelled at and put in timeout often, no set curriculum and just constant winging it. Your kids are better off with an at home nanny.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE! Management is very unprofessional and teachers are careless, always on their phones and gossip about the parents! They do not follow the schedule! Especially in the Two year old room! Don’t waist your TIME or MONEY!!
