If Lowes wants my business, then hire some cashiers. I'm not any employee trained in the use of their registers. If you want to have someone who actually works for Lowes, you have to walk all the way to lumber and wait for the contractor cashiers to check you out. This is a really poor job of customer service. It is, however, a great job of wanting your money and taking it with no service.

This is what I posted to Lowe’s social media.UPDATE BELOWJust had a horrible experience at Lowe’s 2812 in New Braunfels Tx. Matching washer/dryer set I got yesterday are not going to work. Usually a manager will try to salvage the sale and listen to an upset customer but tonight was an insulting night. I wanted perspective from how things could be done as an ex-employee and all I got was short dismissals and wounded ego from Michael. Needless to say I immediately called and scheduled a pick up of the appliances I was delivered yesterday for a full refund. I tried to find another set before Michael came over to no avail and I planned on trying again but because Michael said “then leave ex-employee” I can’t believe I’m wanted as a customer nor my family and friends. I did get a lady named Tabitha who helped schedule the pick up and she took the time to explain how things had changed since I worked for the company and though I think the changes leave the consumers in the cold and with no options, I appreciated her conversation and tone and we had a very pleasant conversation.Michael seemed most upset on the promo material in this pic. As a customer I expect this sign means I can get this “now”. Well it’s not in the store so it’s “not now” at this point. It’s not in a warehouse so “now” doesn’t mean I can get it delivered in coming days. Is this misleading? I think it is. This when Michael raised his voice and started walking away. Is this what Marvin expects of his leadership team?UPDATE: going on five days and Lowe’s social media didn’t even ask for more info or even contact me as most national chains do when someone posts on their page. I made a comment on Jif Peanut Butter with glowing comments except how hard it is to get the safety barrier lid off and they reached out within hours.I was also lied to about the return policy more than once as I have 30 days to return this product since I used a Lowe’s advantage card.BIG UPDATE: I went to Home Depot and found the first choice we had for a quieter washer and dryer and have them being delivered Saturday. The 13 year associate was so pleasant and understanding and even took the time to call the HD credit card people to get me the promo for 12-month no interest. Also, the same models I tried to get as replacements at Lowe’s were $50 cheaper for each one so I saved $100 on the purchase.The Lowe’s machines are disconnected and ready to pick up and return later today. I’ll add that our refrigerator may need replacing in the next year. Guess where I won’t be buying it…..Lowe’s store #2812#marvinellison

Had a little trouble finding a particular tile in the flooring department today. A young man working in that area helped me. He was so courteous and helpful! Didn’t get his name but a “shout out” to him!

I’m usually a Home Depot man, but Lowe’s is a lot closer, so I’ve been going here more frequently.From a “normal” customer (not buying large quantities or buying anything for a business), it gets the job done. The staff is nice, although not as knowledgeable on the store as I’d hope.

Been coming to this store for a couple years now (closest to my house). Been working several projects and lost one of the receipts. Returned with no problem for store credit all times before today. I go to do this today for two 2x4s (maybe $7) and am told they do not do store credit. I point out the sign behind the employee and the sign on the desk say store credit is possible. I'm told they "don't do that anymore". Kind of feels like I'm being lied to, but hey, I guess it's their call not to do the return. I was about to spend hundreds more in lumber. I'd have thought that would be worth $7 that i would immediately spend in their store. Honestly debating returning all the material i have thus far i do have receipts for worth hundreds. Will take my future business to Home Depot.

On 12.23 I made two online purchases. I paid for same day delivery and it came the next day because I ordered late in the day. That’s the best part of the story. In one order I bought two storage cabinets. One was the wrong color. I called as soon as I opened it and called to ask for a pick up. They can do next day deliveries but NOT pickups. THEY sent the wrong cabinet. They can’t refund me until they get the product back, they cannot refund the $ for the delivery because it’s done by a third party. They scheduled me for pick up on the 28th, when I hadn’t received a window of time I called in only to find out they RESCHEDULED me for the 30th. My window was 3-7pm. As 7 got closer I called only to find out they rescheduled me for the 3rd. NO PHONE CALL, NO EXPLANATION.I’ve purchased the replacement cabinet and they only way they can deliver FREE is if I wait until they pick up the wrong one. No one cares, no one calls, no one calls back. If I hadn’t called I still wouldn’t know what was going on. So much for my trying to support Lowe’s because they support veterans. My discount doesn’t do any good withPoor customer service

Mike Willard manager is apathetic and has no regard for customer safety.My trailer tire was dangerously low. I tried to fill it with the air pump they provide, but the nozzle is broken. I found a replacement nozzle in their hardware section and asked the manager if I could swap it out in order to leave his lot safely. His answer was “ no, we don’t have a nozzle to replace it”.I presented him with the nozzle, to which he replied “there is nobody to replace it”. I offered to swap it out for him, to which he replied that he can’t let me do that for liability reasons.What about the liability I present as I leave his lot, loaded down and with a flat trailer tire? Clearly not his problem.
