Legacy should be at the top of the list on Google. I drove in to town towing a camper on Friday afternoon and started having engine trouble. Legacy was the only mechanic opened after 5:00 so I gave them a call and explained my situation. Robert told me to come on in and that he would take a look. He and his mechanic stayed late after closing time to diagnose my truck. My truck had an issue that could not be fixed over the weekend but he was able to get it drivable so I could get my family home safe. Robert is a genuinely great person and I am forever grateful.

Finally, a mechanic that women can trust! I took my truck in to check if I had a problem and they told me everything was fine and they don't charge for an inspection! How often does that happen?! When I do have a problem, I know where to go now.

Took my Dodge to Legacy Transmission because the transmission was making a horrible noise. Robert explained that he would not pull the transmission before driving it and verifying the problem. I left it and he didn't get backto me for a couple days, so I called him and asked how it was going? He stated that he had driven the truck for 2 days and that it ran great, no noise or anything abnormal. On the next day I met with Robert and asked what I owed him, he said nothing, because he hadn't fixed anything!!!!
I have been driving that truck for 3 months since with not one problem. Robert could have sold me a brand new transmission as so many others would have. Good on you Robert, thanks for the honesty!!

Quoted me $5,000.00 to rebuild a transmission with no mention of a warranty. Got it taken care of for $2,200.00 with a 3yr warranty. Instead of wasting ppl time and blowing up the price, just say you don't want to do the job.

Left several messages. No call back. Very frustrating. Atleast return a phone call, especially when your business was referred and the customer paid for the parts needed for the repair (which was left on your voicemail). If you're business is busy, great! Maybe switch your answering machine to reflect a time a customer may need to wait for a call back.

My son and I took his truck chevy silverado 2500hd 4x4 to Robert and he diagnosed that we had a problem with our transfer case and he gave us the best results. He's a very nice and generous man and I would recommend him to anyone that I know needs help. Thanks Robert my son and I appreciate it. Thanks again Monica and Dylan Dietz.

Took my 2002 blazer in, was running rough and bouncy. Robert told me he could get it in the same day. I had called multiple shops across town with a weeks wait list. Diagnosed it with needing a tune up and got her back on the road the next day. Very friendly guy and up front on repairs. His pricing was honest and suggested other shops that would give me the best deal for just an oil change. Happy with the service, price and turn around time. Oh and my blazer is running like a champ again!!

Our truck's speedometer went crazy and we were having trouble gaining and maintaining speed. After we replaced our speed sensor and the problem continued, we looked around New Braunfels for a mechanic that might be able to take a look and help us troubleshoot the issue. We found Legacy Transmissions, drove up, and found Robert working on another vehicle. He was so friendly, asked us what was going on, and said to wait a few minutes in his office while he finished up. He came in and discussed what could be the problem, test drove the vehicle and it was driving just fine. Because he couldn't recreate the issue, he spent about half an hour telling us all the ways we could troubleshoot and repair the problem ourselves if it happened again down the road, explaining different possibilities for what could be causing the problem. He was genuinely kind, wouldn't accept any payment for the diagnostic, and said he just hoped folks would treat his family the same way if they broke down out of town. If you're looking for a mechanic that will treat you kindly, Robert is the guy, and he definitely knows his stuff. We have a whole list of ways to troubleshoot our own vehicle now, thanks to him.Meeting Robert was totally by chance, and we feel so lucky that we did. If you're having car problems in New Braunfels, TX, give him a call!

Always courteous and helpful. Made sure things were done correctly. Never had to take it back to fix the same problem, unlike other place. Legacy knows what they are doing. Well worth going too.

My son broke down in New Braunfels, TX while moving, and these guys went out of their way to make sure he was able to get back on the road. What they did was a blessing. Check them out for you auto repair, and parts. Good customer service is sometimes hard to find, and these guys showed they really care. Won't forget their kindness.
