For over a year, I have had nothing but poor service at both locations. From having them fill my prescriptions at the Gruene location when I and my doctors office both clearly said Hunter's Village. Then being made out to be the bad guy when I voiced why it was out of my way to go to Gruene, and they (Andrew) will not transfer the scrip or the medications to Hunter's Village. And now they compounded my prescription incorrectly, and they (Mike) will only remake 2 months instead of 3 like I paid $100 for. Now I will be short one month, or I have to pay $60 for a 30-day supply. I buy 3 months at a time for the obvious money savings. They mess up, and it's either my fault or I have to pay for it. Ridiculous.

I couldn't ask for a better pharmacy. Texts when prescriptions are ready.The staff here at Gruene Road Pharmacy Hunters Village are so friendly and helpful. If you have any questions, they have no problem taking care of the question and if a request about prescription changes. So glad I changed to them.

This pharmacy does an excellent job with managing medications and finding a way to save their customers money. They are open to accepting coupons, price matching, and have customer loyalty programs.

For anyone who doesn't already know, Gruene Road Pharmacy is a Compound Pharmacy. Meaning, when your cat has a difficult to treat UTI, and the 1 antibiotic that works must be custom made, this is your place! Not only that, our feline specialist is in SA, and we were originally going to have to drive to medical center for the antibiotic (we live about 2 miles from Gruene Road Pharmacy). It was going to take about 4 days for them to make, and our cat had already went to the ER after nearly becoming septic from his UTI. I'm training to be a provider (for people) myself, so I knew that Gruene Road could compound medications, but for a cat? Now, Sir Skittles seems to be doing better than ever!! We are so thankful for Gruene Road Pharmacy!! Without them, who knows how Sir Skittles would be, or me for that matter, after driving back and forth to the medical center. Thank you for what you do!!

I am a hospice RN and have to deal with them quite frequently. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Love them!

I don’t have a problem with the medication I get from Gruene Rd Pharmacy. However, I’ve set up my prescription on auto fill. It rarely has been auto filled. I have to call. Most recently… The staff left for holiday with my medication due to be filled. I thought I was going by there to pick up it up but found out I would have to go without for three days before getting it. Unfortunately, the side effects of being without the medication is brutal. Why couldn’t they process what’s due before the holiday to avoid this. Their communication with the customer is lacking to say the least.

Please take note how OLD the 5star reviews are- a LOT has changed in the the last 2 years. The staff is nice enough, not real sharp- mostly family members filling in these days. BEWARE God help the sick person who has to deal with the Pharmacist/owner! He’s in a bad way- yelling at repeat customers who are sick and dying- is never ok. New NewBraunfels is changing rapidly. Use the H-E-B pharmacy and don’t worry that your Rx is just randomly sitting out on a counter so the Grandpa can’t find it…? Issues like this the last six visits in 4 months-

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I was so incredibly disappointed in the service I received. My 5 week old has a terrible diaper rash and was prescribed a compound cream by the pediatrician. I was originally told $85, then they tried to “match” the price I was charged by Best Med before they closed ($30). When I got home I realized they filled 17% of the prescription, I asked for the remaining and they said it would cost $170. Apparently, I was given bad information on the $85 charge and there was a lack of communication. I paid $30 for a days worth of tushy cream. They should have told me in advance and did not. Will never use them again. On a positive note, the associate was nice on the phone.
