Unfortunately, we can not recommend this place. This location is expensive for what you receive. Although confirming an early check-in was okay, they failed to note that there was a change at 11 unless we wanted to sit there for an hour because although the room was ready, it was theoretically too early despite the $500+ rooms, plus more for a family dog, more fees are required om top of that. We also had a family member with a disability that required a service dog that had to stay elsewhere or pay other absorbent fees as they did not want to take the time to discuss the law. The rooms are acceptable but not cleaned throughly and nothing special or memorable. Be sure to bring socks that you don't mind getting filthy or slippers as the floors were very dirty. Also, it is quite a far distance from anything in town, about 15 minutes driving minimum with no congestion, and nothing is walkable, which is a bummer in a small ish town. The breakfast is nicely presented, but without any flavor. I also would not have taken the time to leave the feedback, but after unpleasant interactions with staff, I figure I might as well as that was the tipping point to lead me not to not want to return despite a family trip here each year. There was another staff member who seemed nice, but with apparently little to no authority (who said come on over for the early check-in), definitely good cop bad cop vibes. Very passive aggressive responses too, but never any specifics about the actual facts as we clearly laid them out. Apparently the quality had fallen off under new ownership, so sad when this happens.

Fantastic stay! Comfortable rooms in their own little houses. I only stayed one night and didn’t have much time to explore the grounds, but the room was nice and homey. 10/10 recommend!

Place was absolutely wonderful. We stayed in the hideaway room and the online pictures don’t do it justice. Room was beautiful and rustic. Breakfast was great! Definitely will be staying here again for our next visit to Gruene!!!

Wonderful venue! Staff is wonderful and very helpful. My husband and I had a problem of our own doing and the staff went above and beyond to help resolve issue.

Just had the Easter Brunch and it was outstanding!!! BEST eggs Benedict in New Braunfels and the Bloody Mary’s were on point! Love this place ! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Omg, this place is spectacular!!!! Great ambiance, nice rooms, pool bar, great service, good breakfast. I could go on and on about how awesome this place is, I highly recommend for events or just a weekend getaway.

Wow! What a gem! We were just looking for a place that wasn’t a typical hotel. If you’re on the fence, hopefully this will put you over the top. The grounds are perfect and rooms/buildings are spread out enough where you’re not on top of each other. The pool is just as great as the pictures make it look. The two/three days we were there, we were the only ones in the pool! Loved the place so much, we stayed another night!The breakfast was top notch. Each morning had the norm…bacon and eggs, but also each day had something different. One morning was pancakes and next quiche!Will definitely be back! Thank you!

My most favorite place to stay in new Braunfels. All of the unique rooms are spectacular and my favorite that I have to stay in is the root cellar. When you come in here you feel immediately feel at home and it’s very cozy. There’s nothing like sleeping down in the cellar amongst lime stone or it’s nice and cold.There’s also a really cool silo to stay in. They serve a big country breakfast with homemade bread and jam and vegetables from the garden on occasion. The ladies at the front that work here are so sweet. We met the owner today and she was quite lovely.If you’re coming with kids try to get the Routelle because they will want to stay in it it’s the coolest one.

The staff and service is 5+ stars! The resort pool is such a great addition and makes for an even better stay!! The Meriweather Suite was cozy and super comfortable! Cannot wait to come back!!

We stayed in the Judge's Chamber. 2 rooms, 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds. Queen in back room with large double sink bathroom with shower/jucuzzi tub. Twin beds are in entry room with front door; configured for sitting on them like couches. Mini bar in front room with small microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Clean, no smells, plenty of towels, blankets, and coffee. Central heat and air. Large front porch with chairs and lights. We sat on porch and took pictures on swing and stairs. Ample parking. Quiet even though on main street.Property kept very clean and trimmed. Trees, flower beds, and yard art of antique farm equipment. Deer in yard. Multiple cabins spaced nicely apart for privacy.Down the street from Gruene main street with shops and restaurants. Could walk, probably 15 minutes.

Husband booked this place all on his own. It was absolutely perfect. We loved the porch swing outside our room and watching the deer come around at dark. Definitely a cool place to stay & will try to stay here any time we are in town.Close proximity to everything in NB or Gruene. Comfy beds. Very clean. Great breakfast. && the nicest staff ever.
