“Gruene General Store is like a blast from the past. It reminds me of the General store in F.C, WI when I was a young child. I could have stayed for a couple of hours in the store. There is so much to see and they have ice cream!!! If you are in Gruene, Texas, you must visit this store!”

“These pickles are not your average pickle! They have samples and let me tell you they are amazing! How could a pickle be this good you ask? It's a small batch business and they are prepared with great ingredients. The woman working was so helpful and very kind. They are tucked back off the street in Gruene, but definitely worth the stop. They aren't cheap, but remember this is a small business and they are worthy of a little extra $-you will taste the difference! I bought some for us and some for sharing on Thanksgiving. I know I will be back for more!”
“Nice little store selling what I guess I'd say is Texas attire. The staff was so friendly. My kid sneezed and needed a paper towel or something for his nose, and they were happy to give to him. So when my wife wanted to by a really nice dress and t-shirt, how could I say no? The prices were, in my opinion, extremely reasonable. The dress was awesome. Stop in and enjoy.”
“Their giant rubber duck out front got our attention and drew us in! Located in a cool old house, it has a variety of toys for all ages as well as some adult only material. Saw some toys I hadn't seen in a while. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful( Lucy was great!).”
“I was looking for a Victor Crowley mask that was impossible to find at a reasonable price. Freaky Findz had it for a great price! Because they were so knowledgeable and awesome (thanks Dean) I ordered my TCM mask from them too. I ordered on Sunday and it was here that Friday. Both masks are from Trick or Treat Studios and are impeccable! I will absolutely order from them again!”

“Perfect, must-stop shop when visiting Historic Gruene. First stop if possible.Great owners, wonderful pleasant interaction all the way through.Lots of very cool items to choose from. No gadgety-touristy stuff here. Only [useful] memorabilia to mark your pleasant time in such a beautiful part of old Texas.And you certainly can’t beat the infectious smiles, charm and warmth of the two nice ladies who run the shop to will warmly engage you from the moment you enter until you force yourself to leave.Hint: you won’t leave empty handed.
