A.Cherie designed my custom wedding gown for my dream wedding! I went to a local bridal store to try on dresses but I didn't get excited about any of the dresses I tried on since I liked different things on each dress. She took my vision of what I liked and created something fantastic! The design was everything I could imagined and the process was straight forward. The fabric was high quality and everyone was raving about my dress the whole evening! Thanks for everything, A.Cherie!!!!!!

I just got married in October. I had originally purchased a dress from David's Bridal and the second I left the store I had buyers remorse. I have known since I was 16 that I wanted a red and lace wedding dress, I am not a traditional type person. The dress I bought felt so generic and it was the typical all white dress. I had felt like I just had to pick something because I had always believed that custom dresses cost thousands upon thousands of dollars. Thankfully that nagging feeling of dread I felt every time I looked at my dress drove me to do extensive research. I came across A. Cherie and heard nothing but great things about it. I live 5 hours from the shop but when I saw the creations and prices that they were offering it was well worth the drive. I have never been so happy with a decision I have made. From start to finish Ashley (the owner) was the nicest, easiest person to work with. She worked around my schedule each time I needed to drive down for a scheduled appointment. She made sure we did as much as possible each time I was there so I didn't have to drive back a million times. At the first appointment she drew the sketch of my dress and it was amazing to see my vision on paper. It was exactly what I had had in mind. By the last appointment I had done everything from hand selecting my fabrics (colors and material) all the way to picking how low and fitted I wanted every aspect of my dress. The final product was a masterpiece! It was everything I've ever wanted. My guests were in awe on my wedding day and I felt absolutely stunning! My dress was my favorite part of my entire wedding, it was like the cherry on top of the perfect cake, it was the perfecting touch. My dress is something I would have never been able to find on a rack. I didn't run the risk of running into another bride with the exact same dress as myself. I felt like I was wearing a creation straight off the New York runway without the New York price. If you are wanting the full bridal experience and you want to feel like a queen on your wedding day then let Ashley handle it. You will not regret it!

Great haircut every time I go! I have seen several of the hair dressers, and everyone of them was good. I have had cuts, highlights, shampoos, and blow dry- they all look good. They don't hurry through your cut either and try to please you. They listen well to you ideas about your hair cuts too which not every salon does. Thank you!

I had a very particular, non-traditional, design in mind for my wedding dress, and A. Cherie executed it beautifully! We had phone calls and lots of dialogue over email, and Ashley truly understood my vision for the dress. She moved mountains (and mailed lots of swatches!) so that we could get just the right color of peachy pink for the dress. A. Cherie also problem-solved the construction of the dress so that the plunging back I hoped for worked with the front of my gown, which was no small task. Her team's beading and pleating was perfection! The final dress had the movement, the drape and every other detail I'd hope for. I had a wonderful experience with this talented, professional and creative team.

Friendly and professional staff. Victoria did an amazing job with my hair. Exactly what I wanted. She took her time, was very meticulous, and understanding to my needs. I was very nervous going to a new stylist after moving to TX from another state, but looks like I found my new go-to person for all my hair needs.

Yelpers - I warn you F&F filters and deletes reviews. They deleted my review on Google. So think twice as you see an overwhelmingly positive reviews! Anyways, here's my story: I am an Asian in my mid-20s. For young people who wants modern-style, updated make-up techniques, I DO NOT RECOMMEND Amber for plenty of reasons: BAD "DIVA-LIKE" ATTITUDE - 2 hours before I walked down the aisle, I was not at all satisfied with my hair and make-up, I looked myself in the mirror to see how we can salvage a bad job. I was surprised when Amber spoke and said, "Girl, you have to leave! I already have 2 clients waiting outside." Later she added, "if you're not satisfied it's because you did not book a trial." My ears warmed up when I heard this because although I did not book a trial, I gave her very specific instructions on the color to use on my face and the hair styling that I wanted. POOR RESULTS - I wanted a second-skin, dewy look with pinkish blush on my face and soft, clean waves for my hair. Amber did the OPPOSITE. The airbrush foundation was way too thick it looked and felt like I had botox, and the blush was darker and on the edge of my face instead of the apples of my cheeks. It made my face look contoured, but flat. My hair was horrible, she did it for 3 minutes or less. All she had to do was use a curling iron and that's it, that's the 70usd I paid for hair. It was extremely unflattering. OUTDATED TECHNIQUES - I'm a designer, I know an artist when I see one. My wedding was on a budget, but had a modern-elegant style. All my vendors were paid at least 20-40% less than market price, but they were superb. They were real artists...EXCEPT AMBER. I trusted her because on her website she said she had a certificate from an LA-based cosmetics school. I should have known - if you look at the photos, most of them were outdated photos for what looked like an erotica magazine. No wonder, she could not do what I asked for. INFLEXIBLE AND MONEY-FOCUSED - A really talented artist can recognize your natural contours, undertone color, etc. and make out what would suit you better. The wedding "industry" has become a money-making scheme that make-up trial has touted to be a requirement...or at least for Amber. She required me to do a trial, which I did not think was the most critical budgetary item. Honestly, I did not think that hair and make-up would make or break my wedding, I was focused more on the Sacrament of Matrimony, the actual union. And if I did get a trial, I would have paid the same amount of money for what? To give Amber insurance to mess up lesser on my wedding day. Her inflexibility required a trial, otherwise, she could not pull off a good job impromptu. Which is why I do not regard her with genuine talent. Not to mention, none of the make-up that she used on me were brands I recognized. My husband's reaction to my make-up and hair? "Meh, it's okay...could be better." Overall, if you are a YOUNG BRIDE looking for a Make-up and Hair ARTIST who's craft is modern and updated, YOU WILL NOT BE SATISFIED WITH AMBER. She's more suited to a different generation. I just moved to New Braunfels following my wedding, and I will never ever step back again to Felger and Friends.

The experience I had at A. Cherie was above and beyond what one could even begin to expect. Ashley and her team far exceeded any expectations I had and were consistently a step ahead. My process began by trying on other dresses at several local designer stores, and I originally went in ready to spend just about any amount to find THE dress. I soon became disappointed by the availability and lack of creativity I was finding in the stores and nothing seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. I was so disappointed because even if I liked one dress it still was not quite perfect and would have to have straps added, or be adjusted, and then also be altered to fit properly. With no guarantee it would fit like the dress I was trying on since many of the dresses had been tried on before! YIKES! Disappointed with what I was finding, I reached out to Ashley at A.Cherie to see if she might be able to help. Ashley responded promptly and we set up a follow-up appointment to further discuss my dress ideas. Ashley recommended having a good idea of what I wanted in my dress, to bring pictures of the dresses I had liked, and what I had not liked about the dresses. At our meeting, I brought pictures of several dresses I had tried and she sketched out the original design that would be the inspiration for the rest of the process. After our original meeting we changed 2 things, the body style went from A-line to fitted, and the upper half of the back of the dress went from lace to beaded with a key-hole back. After drawing out the original design we met again to discuss the details of the dress and take measurements. This appointment was one of the most fun, but slightly overwhelming appointments for me. I got to pick all the details, but since I am not as good at visualizing, it was hard to imagine it coming together and pick those types of details. This is where Ashley's expertise is AMAZING! I was able to give my opinion but listened to ALL of her suggestions because she ABSOLUTELY has the experience and knows how to make the dress come to life. At this appointment, we also began discussing what type of lace I wanted, what colors I wanted in the dress, if I had any specific type of lace in mind, and any other small details I wanted to include. My dress was heavily beaded so we picked beads, rhinestones, and buttons. She also had dresses at her studio that were very helpful in allowing me to see what she is capable of creating design-wise as well as the different types of lace, beads, buttons, tulle, etc. she uses. After we had picked a lace Ashley was able to begin a computerized drawing of what the dress would look like. She uses a digitized version of the lace and can approximate where the lace placement will be. This is where you get to see how everything will go together and the unique aspects of your dress take shape. This is the final step before your dress starts being created and truly allows you to see your dress start to come to life. Once my dress was complete I had a "fitting." I say fitting but what is great about A.Cherie is the dress will already fit and there may only be minor adjustments since she uses YOUR measurements to make the dress! After my "fitting" there were minor changes that needed to be made. I came back for a second appointment, tried on my dress, and then got to take my dress with me THAT day! The experience I had at A. Cherie was one I will not readily forget as there is nothing Ashley and her team missed or overlooked. Ashley was great at keeping me informed and updated throughout the process. Ashley was beyond helpful in consoling my fears, listening to my concerns, and walking me through the process step-by-step. I was SO glad she was there to bounce ideas and give opinions. I often had hesitations about certain aspects of my dress and Ashley was great at giving her opinions based on her experience. Ashley without a doubt knows what she's doing. Looking for a dress for an event is stressful and looking for the wedding gown of your dreams is not exempt from that same strand of stress. But I have to say Ashley of A. Cherie Couture Custom Wedding Dresses made this process so smooth and seamless I couldn't have imagined getting my wedding dress anywhere else. Because her establishment is in Texas and I'm out of state she was very detailed in guiding me how to get exact measurements and what the process would be like. Any questions I had she was more than willing to answer and put my mind at ease. I just received my dress within the last week and I am truly at a loss for words with how beautiful it is! My jaw literally dropped the moment I tried it on and it was in that moment I truly felt like a bride. Ashley, thank you so much for making my dreams come true with this dress! I can't wait for my big day and for my fiancé to see me in this masterpiece. To anyone who is looking for that perfect custom dress this is definitely the place to go! Hands down 100%.
