CAUTION!!!!!
As far as trying to get your jewelry appraised or reselling to this shop I would be very cautious. I tried to see how much I could get for a solitaire engagement ring. First of all, they told me it had a crack in it and would give me $500 for it. It has since been appraised by 3 other jewelers for over $12,000 and was determined by all 3 to be flawless!!!! I have tried to contact Ernesto’s several times to let them know about this just for their own information with absolutely no luck or follow up on their part. This review is mostly for customer and Ernesto’s information since it has been over a year and the multiple messages I have left have gone unanswered and calls unreturned. Also, in general ALWAYS get more than one appraisal bc mistakes can happen and we are all human.

I’ve never been treated so poorly walking into an establishment. Once someone asked what I needed, I asked if I could exchange the diamond that was purchased there recently. The lady looked at my ring and said “oh it’s lab grown, there is not anything we can do.” I’ve never felt so deflated. I asked what my options were, and was given none. Please do research before someone sells you a “lab grown” diamond and a policy that you can’t return/exchange a ring, especially if you are proposing.

A friend referred me to Ernesto's. Wow, I was so impressed with their customer service! I needed my ring checked out because one of the prongs kept catching on things. They didn't try to steer me away, make me leave the ring, or try to upsell me on the repair (unlike an unnamed competitor). They quickly fixed the issue and returned my sparkling clean ring. I found my new jeweler!

We can not say enough wonderful things about Ernesto’s! From the moment we walked in the doors we were treated like family. Ernesto himself spent a significant amount of time with us helping us select the perfect engagement ring. They have a stone selection that is out of this world and every setting we could have imagined. If we could dream it, they could do it! They also have amazing sales and financing options so we could get exactly what we dreamed without breaking our budget! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being such a huge support on our journey. Don’t walk, RUN to Ernesto’s!!!!!!

Do yourselves a favor and do not sell your jewelry here, they are the biggest fraudsters. went to sell my diamond ring here and they tried to scam me and say the diamond wasn't real in my ring. went ahead and got re-praised at multiple other outlets, even sent it back to the company that i got it from to absolutely make sure that the diamond in the ring was real. after all that low and behold it was, Ernestos wanted to give me 200 dollars just for the platinum band. who knows who else got scammed out of their pricey jewelry just to be told it was fake and in reality they took what was very real and benefited significantly by telling you LIES.

My husband has purchased several nice pieces of jewelry for me over the years from Ernesto's. At their old location there were two ladies who were always extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have been to the new location twice since they moved and have been disappointed with the service I received. On both occasions there were several young assistants in the store. Today I went in to purchase new backs for my earrings, which were purchased at Ernesto's a year or so ago. I waited 15 minutes for the assistant to find a pair in the back, and when she showed them to me they did not match. She said one was just tarnished. No offer to clean them. She bought out another pair and they too were yellow looking. I left rather disgusted at the lack of service and have since purchased some from another jewelry store. Ernesto's has a lovely selection but sadly their customer service is greatly lacking. There is another choice in town.

I recommend for jewelry repair. Workers were very kind and helpful. They fixed my Tiffany bracelet and it looks good as new.

Extremely friendly staff. I thought I needed my ring resized but it turns out it was just bent. They fixed it in a matter of minutes and had me on my way. Even cleaned the ring and checked all the prongs for me.

Originally bought a band with small stones, and after stones fell out on two different occasions, they told us it’s because of the karat setting. So we paid the difference for a better karat, and the same thing happened again with stones falling out. We paid to have the stones replaced because it wasn’t under warranty anymore, and yet again, the stone fell out. We went into trade it in for something else, and they would not except it as a return or an exchange, and only offered to buy it back from us for $100. Absolutely crazy for someone who pays good money for something that should last. Will not be going back.

Bought a very nice solar watch here a few years ago and was told if I had an issue bring it back and they would take care of it. Well I come back and now they don't deal in watches and I was given a card for a watch repair in San Antonio. They found my purchase after they told me they don't deal in watches. I will never again go here as they are dishonest and do not honor the warranty. PLEASE STEER CLEAR
