My Sleep Doctor sent a prescription to this place for a new machine. I had not hit my deductible, so I knew I was going to have a large co pay. First of all, this company uses "outsourced" customer service reps. When you call it, the people assisting you are not well trained and you have a hard time understanding them. I asked multiple times to speak to a "US based" rep and was refused. If this is the level of service you are going to provide to you customers, I would fire that company answering your phones. Secondly, I was told by a woman who called me that in addition to the co pay, I was going to have a "rental fee" in addition. This is to "make sure I use the machine". When I explained to the lady that I had been using a CPAP machine for more than 15 years, she told me "it is part of contract been us and your insurance company." I called her bluff and called my insurance company and asked. To my surprised, there is not any "contract" between them and the insurance company. My insurance company told me if they had a problem, they could call provider services. I called this company back and let them know this. They told me they would inquire and then came back to let me know that there was indeed a "rental fee". Thanks but NO. I know many DME company do this in order to make even MORE money off a customer. If you are already getting paid in full for the cost of the machine, you should not be charging "extra" as a way to milk more money out of your customers. I told the lady that I would be taking my business elsewhere. I did end up contacting another DME company that I had dealt with in the past and surprise surprise, they do not require a "rental fee".
