I want to appreciate your New Braunfels shop! I have a 1987 K5 Blazer that was running rough and stalling! My 1st stop was A&E across I-35 but they couldn’t fit me in for at least a month but April from A&E told me that she heard real good things about Cambridge of which I didn’t even know existed! So I stopped in and spoke with Edwin (Awesome young man)! He told me they had a mechanic coming the following Monday so I brought it in and met Mike (One Stud Of A Mechanic) He checked out all the work that I did and said it was correct and that’s when I started worrying! Mike continually put me at ease stating “I WILL figure it out”! Turned out to be valve timing (of which was beyond my capabilities and couldn’t figure out after a few months of trying everything I knew). Mike not only got the Blazer running smooth replacing all lifters determining there was no issue with the cam, replaced distributor, and found a wiring short, fixed a brake issue, and replaced Oil Pressure sensor. Now everything on the 87 Blazer works and runs amazing! I couldn’t be happier!!! Edwin told me that his / your shop will figure it out! and I’ll tell you what, I loved the confidence that young man had!! Then I met Mike, WOW did he ever put me at ease showing me and telling me all the work he has accomplished just on his own vehicles! The most impressive part of these 2 gentlemen is their personalities, the shop is buried with work and they just keep plugging away while keeping a calm fun loving attitude! I noticed all the employees of your New Braunfels team and they are all just as amazing! You have built an amazing team at this shop and have earned my business for all our future vehicle maintenance! Mike those apprentices are lucky to have someone with your knowledge and capabilities training them! Edwin you have the perfect disposition to promote your shop, you got my attention or I wouldn’t have shown up :) Thank You Edwin & Mike!! You are 2 awesome and dedicated employees, Cambridge is lucky to have you!

I went in for a simple replacement of a stud that discount tire accidentally cross threaded when balancing my tires. I've replaced them before it's maybe an hour or so job. But since discount tire was paying for I thought what the heck. S9 I go to their recommened place Cambridge auto. 2 and a half hours later they tell me it's done but my brakes are squishy. I told them they weren't when I brought in the truck so I got in the truck and attempted to drive away but I had NO brakes. I went back inside to tell them about it. They said the noticed new brake pads on there and that the previous person must have messed up the break job. I told them that they drove it in to the garage without squishy breaks (or they would've mentioned it) and it only now has squishy brakes after they worked on it. Then they proceed to tell me it's probably the power brake booster. I tell them they broke it, they need to fix it. They tell me that they are happy to investigate the problem but will charge me for it!? Charge me to investifate a problem they caused!? Seems like a scam to me. I had enough, I left.
I was able to drive home using the emergency brake. When I got home I tried to pull the tire off but one of the lug nuts was cross threaded!!!
Unbelievable I went in to have one fixed and they crossed thread another. Breaking off the cross threaded one, I check the brakes out and there was air in the system. I simply bled the one caliper they removed to replace the lug, and now the brakes work fine. How they got air in the system, I dont know. Again, I'm thinking scam.
Needless to say I will never go back nor recommend them to anyone.

I brought my 74 chevy nova to this shop to tune the chevy 350 engine to run a bit better and also had a shake at about 2500 rims. Dropped it off in Oct of 2023 and picked it up June of 2024. I called every few weeks for the first few months. I was told by whoever answered that they apologize that he sucked and will call me back. Finally a few months in got a call back they the moved the distributor over a tooth and put a better battery in but still not running 100 percent. I figured I would see how long it would sit. Well it sure sat for a looong time. My wife got cancer so could car less about the status of this car. I finally got a call that they wanted more money for diagnoses and wanted me to buy a new battery. I asked what was wrong with it and never got an answer. I was told the owner was going to look at it. I told them I didn't want to pay anything else and wanted a call back from the owner on what was up with the car. Never got a call from the owner but did get a call back of when I would come pick it up because they were tired of moving it under the car part of the shop since it leaked when it rained. Paid over 300 bucks for nothing really. Got my car back with some random battery that was not mine. The battery tray was missing the part to hold the battery in place. Every shop that works on vintage cars in my area is trash and this one is the same. I have finally given up on my dream of restoring this car and this shop was nice enough to help me make that choice. I guess you would say I would not recommend this place at all. Oh yeah never found out what the shake was from. Thanks guys for nothing and taking my money.

Everyone here is very caring and helpful. The mechanics listened to me and genuinely wanted to help me figure out my vehicle's issues without trying to sell me stuff or repairs I didn't need. My family have brought several of our vehicles here, and I would recommend them to others.
