Best service department ever.

Complete joke, this would sum the service department, along with the complete dealership.
Let’s take a step back in time to the first time we asked Coleman to do some work. Long story short, they said they wouldn’t work on a modified vehicle. It was converted professionally to be a RHD for work, mail delivery. They also told us that no other dealership would touch it. Well mama was wrong, we loaded it up and took it to another dealership. No issues at all about the modification and was great to work with. Downfall they were in Sulphur Springs kinda a drive to get too.
Move forward a little bit, another issue arises. We take it back to Coleman. Ask/remind them about the modification, they tell us it’s a none issue. We leave it thinking maybe they had a management of change. Finally after 2 weeks of part swapping and/or finally making the correct guess, we were allowed to come get it. How can say that? Great question, one of the parts they told us that was the issue had already been replaced. It was an alternator that was 1 day old before we took it there. Did it fix the issue? I’ll give you two guesses, but you only need one. Yea, NOOO it did not fix the issue not even close.
Now, why go to the dealership, another good question. There is warranty on the vehicle, in fact a lifetime one. I’m telling you this to Tee up the last part.
So, as life happens another issue pops up. This time we run a code reader and code P0717 is pulled. With my sly detective skills (Google) I see it’s a transmission speed sensor. We call (last Friday) and told that we could bring it Monday. Cool we will be there, load up Monday drive up there and what do ya know they were closed (Labor Day). Hmm, this should have been the first red flag to NOT give them a third chance. We leave it anyway. Call them Tuesday (they are not good at customer service AT all when calling back), they tell us that the transmission is smoked and will need to be replaced. We tell them it has a lifetime warranty, they look it up send it off. Called us back today to inform us that the transmission is worth more than the vehicle and that the warranty was canceled, but we owe $175. Asked how the transmission could be smoked if the code was a speed sensor. I am then informed that the transmission is a CVT and they wouldn’t break it down to get the speed sensor out. So sorry, but mama is wrong again. There is an input and out put speed sensor and they are both on the outside. Thats right (Google again). Circling back around I ask how in the world the warranty could be cancelled, wouldn’t that have to come from the owner of the vehicle not the service department? I mean we did pay for the warranty so we should be the ones to cancel, right.
This place is not customer service worthy at all. If so why were phone calls not made when the warranty was cancelled. Why would they be so defensive when I told them that it was nothing more than a speed sensor code before bringing it to them and all of a sudden the whole transmission is smoked.
They will grip and rip you off any moment they see. If the owner or GM is reading this, you need to get rid of your service manager. He is toxic and it’s showing with the employees and how they treat customers coming in.

If you want to be treated with respect I would suggest going literally anywhere else!
But if you choose to do business here, avoid John Stout at all cost. He was very rude and practically laughed in our face when we were there trying to purchase a vehicle. Ultimately he did not want to be bothered with us and pushed us to do business elsewhere.
The next day we purchased a 2023 Tahoe from another Chevrolet dealership with no issues!

Went to the dealership to get a quart of transmission fluid after service, Guy checked transmission fluid found out. I didn’t need any try to refund the transmission fluid. They would not refund even though I did not even use it in a two minute. Period. Would not recommend anyone to service there vehicle at this dealership or buy a vehicle from his dealership owner was very rude and not customer oriented

Took my 2009 Jeep Patriot in, transmission issues, won't get out of second gear. Transmission is of the CVT type. They didn't even offer to look at it. I told them another mechanic had scanned the codes on the TCM, but maybe they ought to do it. Wouldn't touch it, said they didn't make replacement parts for that model anymore, despite the fact that there are still thousands of Patriots on the roads. They did quote me $7500 for a new transmission. By the way, this is the second time I've had transmission issues with this Patriot. The transmission went out in 2013, barely five years after I bought it; it was still under warranty and the dealership I bought it from replaced the transmission. I keep finding issues online that might have a bearing on this problem, but I need someone who's willing to look at it before I have to go to the hassle of trying to find another vehicle. I wouldn't be buying it from Coleman's.

I brought my new 2500 Silverado in for two minor warranty issues after making an appointment a week prior. I arrived 15 minutes early and checked in. The truck with less than 3000 miles on it needed a software update and a front end alignment. The service manager was aware that I was waiting on the vehicle (as noted when I made the appointment) yet I had to wait for 5 1/2 hours.
No communication during the wait and when I shared my concern with the service manager there was no apology; rather just excuses that it was not his or the dealers issue or fault. Poor or inadequate staffing levels are not a customers fault
As the owner and an attorney, who wants to gain market share back from the Texarkana and Mt
Pleasant dealers, I would suggest that you spend resources on improving the customer experience after the sale.....or you won't ever have a chance to grow your business
PS. I only left this public response after my Chevrolet survey outlining the issue went unaddressed.

Easy in and out with loaner. Took a couple days to diagnose some issues. Other than that it was smooth.

Alan did an excellent job selling me my new truck.
John reviewed the finance terms and options and even helped me with a full coverage warranty purchase that will keep me protected against exorbitant repair bills
Alan was very thorough and explaining everything about the vehicle and what my options were. They took time to show me every possible function of the truck so that I was familiar with it
I even had the honor of meeting the owner, Mr. Michael Coleman

Visited with the intent to purchase a pre-owned vehicle advertised on several websites including their own Coleman Chevrolet site. Called ahead to speak to a sales rep to confirm the vehicle was available and discuss general condition. I explained I had financing established and was driving 150 miles to see vehicle just to make certain there were no surprises. Arrived and found the vehicle as described, went to discuss the price. The salesman came back with an added $1,000 to the advertised price, as mentioned in several other reviews for similar reasons. Even the sale rep described the practice as 'deceitful' without batting an eye. Prices were quoted “with dealer financing”. Suggest strongly avoiding this dealership. Apparently Coleman is preying on the those who cannot secure their own financing.
