H&R Block charged us a very reasonable amount ($152.00) for preparing our 2017 taxes; however, the amount charged by H&R Block for preparing our 2018 taxes is $619.00. We are retired & living on a fixed income. Monies we withdrew from our 401 in 2018 were not that much different than 2017. The H&R BLOCK employee said there was more 'work' involved in preparing our 2018 taxes. Baloney! We will NEVER use your services again & advise our family & friends of our decision.
