The curator was a delightful man named Jack. There were a few oddities about this locale, namely that this is the only liquor store that I have visited that does not carry cigarettes. They also do not carry several popular new varieties of seltzers. They did, however, have what I went for, which was Irish cream liqueur, both Bailey's and McCormick. Jack confided in me that he had neither gambled nor drank in the last 30 years. I liked the store and the curator so much that I went back the next day just to say hi. They also had ridiculously large size bags of my favorite popcorn, one of which I purchased. I only gave it a four because they do not have cigarettes. And I am now editing this to five stars because this curator found my keys in the parking lot and held on to them until I thought to call the store and ask if they were there. My friend was able to send them to me. Big relief and great sense of propriety on his part.

This little spot was just what I needed on my road trip. After sitting and driving, hoping to find a liquor store before I got the the beach. I found one. The gentleman that helped was far too kind. Good old Texas charmer he was. We laughed and talked like old Friends. Its good to know we still got places like this
