The wonderful nurses, doctors and staff at NMC have saved my life… more than once. Words can’t truly express my gratitude for the care they have given me, especially in June of 2023. I am beyond grateful for so many there that treated me as if I were their best friend, sister or daughter. Thank you, NMC. You have true gems of angelic humans within your walls that quietly do great things for others, every day. With humble and most sincere gratitude, your patient and friend, Natalie

Best hospital experience. I drive from Lufkin to Nac to use them for all of my needs now. Definitely a 10/10 and puts Lufkin’s 2 local hospitals to shame.

I went to the ER, as I was having a real bad time trying to pass a kidney stone.ALL of the staff was AMAZING! Well, after numerous attempts to dislodge the kidney stone the surgical team showed up and ten minutes later there it was in a collection tray.15 mm stone. We all laughed good times. Named it little rocky. Lol THANK YOU To ALL THAT HELPED!

One of the worst hospitals I’ve been to

I went into the hospital concerned about a feeling I had in my left arm and upper chest. Also felt a little light headed which was all new to me as I have almost never been to the hospital in my life. I was given an EKG, had blood pressure checked, urinalysis, blood work, and 2 chest x-rays. The hospital was fairly busy so I understood the 4 hours it took for the tests and results to come back. The EKG and Blood pressure was done basically in the waiting room before I even came back to a room and when I got to the room, the EKG was not connected to me there once so they must not have thought it was too bad in the waiting room. Dr saw me 3 times for maybe 5 minutes total to ask me what was wrong the first time (which may have been 4 of the 5 minutes) and then later to tell me that the lab work looked fine , xrays fine and it was nothing. Did not seem to know about some of my specific results like Blood pressure and Glucose levels but since it was not a heart attack I was told it was essentially nothing and I was good to go. I was happy to know that it was nothing and I must have just been paranoid or having anxiety about something. No medication administered. I paid some money out of pocket while at the hospital and gave my insurance information but that was just the beginning... The ER sent one bill and I guess because I mentioned my chest, everything from that point on was billed at a higher rate regardless of the actual test results! I know this because I asked when I was going over my bill with the billing department. If I was a high level emergency I figured they would have at least kept me hooked up to blood pressure or EKG but I was not so it seems like they were not really that worried about me but knew they could get by with higher charges since I mentioned my chest. I also got bills separately from the Lab dept, Radiology dept, and who knows if I will get charged something else down the road. It was not like these things were in different locations, they are under the same roof. The charges just keep piling up all to be told nothing was wrong. I understand that it is not free but very shady that I am getting a large charge by the ER which included the lab work, radiology, EKG, and one charge because it was a higher level Emergency, but then to get other charges from the other departments that are in the same hospital just feels ridiculous. I can only image what it would be if something was actually done other than test. I will give them 2 stars because the nurse and lab people were very nice but buyer beware. I say buyer beware because you are not really a patient, you are a customer! Be prepared for your multiple bills if anything happens while you are there. I think I had to be wheel chaired to the X-Ray so waiting to get a bill from the mobility department! Sincerely, Healthy and now Broke

One of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. You definitely don't want to be in the ICU here. They don't take responsibility for their short comings. Most of the staff is Incompetent and lack compassion. I spoke with three different people about my issues after my mom died in their ICU. Rita had compassion and seen room for improvement. Mark and Felisha seen nothing wrong. Mark or Felisha really didn't seem to care. According to them, everything was done properly. Myself, my son, and my husband know what happened the day my mom died. You can't make us believe it was different. I highly recommend that you don't take your loved ones to Nacogdoches Medical Center! I give the ICU 0 stars. One nurse on the floor was great, Diana. The rest should find a new profession. This place is incompetent and lacks compassion. Many devices do not work either.

Second worst ER I've visited, poorly managed, incompetent, lack any semblance of a bedside manner, and all around horrible.I would say the worst but I've been inside ERs both Iraq and Syria.

I love a lot of departments at NMC but in the future I would choose to go anywhere else if I need a ED visit due to the LIVING FOREST COUNTRY EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS PLLC who you may never see again and the hospital billing debt is not directly responsible for. I have been disputing a bill with collections for 5 years now. I walked into the emergency room after feeling anxious during an exam in undergrad and was experiencing heart palpitations. Dr. Dunn's plan an assessment was "follow up with a specialist". He also coded this visit as a level 5. It took a year to get billing to file the claim to my correct insurance carrier. In the meantime, my account went to collections and the physician bill was OON. This bill has been a nightmare as i continue to dispute it since it was re-coded to a level 4 and once re-filed finally my insurance did make payments w/ OON benefits. The debt continues to be sold to new collection agencies so this battle seems never ending and has discouraged me to seek health care when needed.

Imagine being so unbothered and incompetent that you rush a women out of the ER with a 3 week old baby while simaltaniously failing to diagnose RSV. Great team here for sure.

I only give it 2 stars bc they're usually decently fast but the receptionist is one of the rudest women ever.

It's about the worst hospital I have ever been to. They have no concept of time for anyone other than their own. If you have an option, choose anyplace other than here.

Seen in ER a with nausea and vomiting and diarrhea. doc wanted me to drink potassium since mine was low. Refused since I was throwing up. Doctor sent me home to only return less than 8 hours later. Seen the same doctor and he was upset he had to admit me. I ended up testing positive for Cdiff. Never should have sent home. Oh and because I didn't agree with ER a doctor he ordered a drug panel. First time that has happened after many admissions. Yep all negative.

0 stars ⭐️Very unprofessional , Very rude ! They hang up on you & act like they don’t care! They need to be more considerate towards family members that are concerned about their family in the ER!!! I sat in the parking lot for over 4 1/2 hours and NOBODY would let me know how my husband was doing ! I understand you might be busy ……. BUT Please be a little bit more considerate towards family members that are concerned. Please show some compassion towards others. Also hanging up on someone is so unprofessional. This is why your are receiving this review as well ! Wow just received our bill for 3 shots and EKG was over $9,000.00 OMG ?

I had double pnuemonia. Negative cocid 2×. Still, the docs kept me in the cv wing. (Simlar symptoms, high level protection). Most of the staff were"travelars" yet each one knew my name, checked regularly on me, and even non-medical staff did an oustanding job.
