I went into the hospital concerned about a feeling I had in my left arm and upper chest. Also felt a little light headed which was all new to me as I have almost never been to the hospital in my life. I was given an EKG, had blood pressure checked, urinalysis, blood work, and 2 chest x-rays. The hospital was fairly busy so I understood the 4 hours it took for the tests and results to come back. The EKG and Blood pressure was done basically in the waiting room before I even came back to a room and when I got to the room, the EKG was not connected to me there once so they must not have thought it was too bad in the waiting room. Dr saw me 3 times for maybe 5 minutes total to ask me what was wrong the first time (which may have been 4 of the 5 minutes) and then later to tell me that the lab work looked fine , xrays fine and it was nothing. Did not seem to know about some of my specific results like Blood pressure and Glucose levels but since it was not a heart attack I was told it was essentially nothing and I was good to go. I was happy to know that it was nothing and I must have just been paranoid or having anxiety about something. No medication administered. I paid some money out of pocket while at the hospital and gave my insurance information but that was just the beginning... The ER sent one bill and I guess because I mentioned my chest, everything from that point on was billed at a higher rate regardless of the actual test results! I know this because I asked when I was going over my bill with the billing department. If I was a high level emergency I figured they would have at least kept me hooked up to blood pressure or EKG but I was not so it seems like they were not really that worried about me but knew they could get by with higher charges since I mentioned my chest. I also got bills separately from the Lab dept, Radiology dept, and who knows if I will get charged something else down the road. It was not like these things were in different locations, they are under the same roof. The charges just keep piling up all to be told nothing was wrong. I understand that it is not free but very shady that I am getting a large charge by the ER which included the lab work, radiology, EKG, and one charge because it was a higher level Emergency, but then to get other charges from the other departments that are in the same hospital just feels ridiculous. I can only image what it would be if something was actually done other than test. I will give them 2 stars because the nurse and lab people were very nice but buyer beware. I say buyer beware because you are not really a patient, you are a customer! Be prepared for your multiple bills if anything happens while you are there. I think I had to be wheel chaired to the X-Ray so waiting to get a bill from the mobility department! Sincerely, Healthy and now Broke

One of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. You definitely don't want to be in the ICU here. They don't take responsibility for their short comings. Most of the staff is Incompetent and lack compassion. I spoke with three different people about my issues after my mom died in their ICU. Rita had compassion and seen room for improvement. Mark and Felisha seen nothing wrong. Mark or Felisha really didn't seem to care. According to them, everything was done properly. Myself, my son, and my husband know what happened the day my mom died. You can't make us believe it was different. I highly recommend that you don't take your loved ones to Nacogdoches Medical Center! I give the ICU 0 stars. One nurse on the floor was great, Diana. The rest should find a new profession. This place is incompetent and lacks compassion. Many devices do not work either.

Seen in ER a with nausea and vomiting and diarrhea. doc wanted me to drink potassium since mine was low. Refused since I was throwing up. Doctor sent me home to only return less than 8 hours later. Seen the same doctor and he was upset he had to admit me. I ended up testing positive for Cdiff. Never should have sent home. Oh and because I didn't agree with ER a doctor he ordered a drug panel. First time that has happened after many admissions. Yep all negative.

My sister is here right now for covid pneumonia. she is 32 weeks pregnant and oh my gosh. the AUDACITY OF THE ER NURSES. i do not know the nurses name but she has been nothing but down right rude and disrespectful to sister. The dr admitted her but no one will tell my sister anything. she's in pain and the nurse won't tell the dr... my sister has been there since 9ish this morning and it's 5pm. she's still in the er with no room and i've called up there and they said she could be in the ER for DAYS?! but no one has told my sister ANYTHING! this has got to be the most unorganized hospital. my sister has requested to speak to the dr and house supervisor and the nurse won't let her. my sister is crying in pain and no one is doing anything. the nurse told her "covid sucks. sorry" when she's saying how much pain she is in. her o2 is good but she still feels like she's having a hard time breathing and once again the nurse said "idk what to tell you. vitals are fine" if something happens to my sister, i will be making sure we SUE.

I am editing this review because after contact with the head nurse, they changed my mom's nurse. My mom loved Tori. She was sweet and patient and really I am thankful that she was my mom's nurse. so I guess all in all it ended ok for us. Doubt we'll ever be back, but there are a few nice people at this hospital after all.

I wanted to give 0 stars. Only go to this hospital if you don't mind being given medication that you are allergic to more than once. And don't worry, the nurses will lie on your medical record to cover their own butts. This is what happened to me and it is what will happen to you, your friends, and your family if you/they go here!! This hospital hires employees who are rude, negligent liars! DO NOT go here for medical treatment under ANY circumstance!!
