Stopped for a potato and egg taco which was excellent. It was cooked to order, plentiful, tasteful and well worth the reasonable price. Definitely going

The service and the selection at Mariels is unmatched. They have a great variety of different cuts of meat and pretty much stay with chicken, beef, pork and sausage. I wish they would do seafood also but I also know it would be a pain. The counter and the store itself is always clean.

The Tortas are phenomenal. Huge portions. Excellent flavor. We have eaten there at least 10 times now and every item we've had is definitely good, portions are above and beyond as well.

Why 4 stars? Because when you need steaks that are delicious, but also affordable, this is your place. --- --- ---The first time we had steaks from Mariel's, my father-in-law cooked them and his house. I thought my ribeye was really solid and when he told me how much it cost, it was definitely a lot cheaper than some of the fancy meat markets I'd patronized recently. So I knew that my next butcher shop experience was going to be here.We had the in-laws over to our house for the Super Bowl, so the day before, I headed here for my own in-person experience. As I was told, it's literally inside of a (large gas station). Maybe that's why their steaks are cheaper -- they make enough money off the gas?Either way, I grabbed three bone-in ribeyes and grilled up the next day. They were solid! Definitely a notch below what I've gotten other places, but I also got 3 steaks for about what I've paid for one in the past. Not a bad option when you need something for the grill in Montgomery!

Absolutely delicious taqueria inside Mariel's MeatMarket. The pork is tender, juicy, flavorful. 3 huge tacos with rice and beans is only 10 bucks. Definitely a new favorite in Montgomery.

Breakfast tacos and quesadillas are awesome, the meat is seasoned and grilled perfectly every time and the tacos are nice and full.

The bagels were OK, the cream cheese was good, but only can in small containers, a good place for a single bagel but not bulk purchases. On the other hand, it was a decent convenience store...

Mariel's is by far THE BEST meat market in the area...and I have tried them all. Like Denise (who also left a review), we recently moved to Lake Conroe and while we do not see meat markets in gas stations in so cal, that doesn't prevent Mariel's from offering top of the line meats from friendly and helpful butchers. Behind the meat counter you will find wagyu and prime beef offerings along with brats and a variety of links, roasts and pork cuts. All are literally amazing. They also carry several gourmet dishes and Cajun foods that are prepackaged for convenience. The shrimp stuffed jalapeño poppers are a must try!!I don't know what else to say except that if you pass on Mariel's, you are really missing out. But then again, that leaves more for the rest of us!

oof,... I was excited to see a Meat Market in the new area we moved to, but let me tell you... I would not recommend at all. Where to start, first, this is in a gas station, as like a inside taco counter you would see around. However, thats not even the bad part. Two guys were standing outside smoking when we pulled up, both were wearing butcher aprons. I immediately said to my husband, I bet this is going to be bad. Sure enough, both the men stubbed out their cigarettes and followed us in. I kept a close eye on both, knowing what was going to happen, but still hoping. Sure enough, one gentleman went behind the cash counter and assisted the other cashier ringing people up. The other man went behind the meat counter, in full view of my obvious watching eye. First, after he went around the corner, he bent over and picked up a towel or rag that was on the floor and tossed it on the counter. Then wiped his hands on his dirty apron. Without a pause or care or thought, he walked right up to the meat counter that I was standing at, I am sure with my mouth open, and offered help. I literally turned on my heel and walked out.
