First time going to this shop. Went in for an oil change/fuel filters and was able to bring my own filters where some other shops push oem products. I enjoyed chatting with the fellas about the oil. You can tell they know their stuff and do the research. Nice to have them close to the house so I’ll be back again.

I sent my mother, in her 80s, to Ricks as they were close to her. I have not used them but based upon how they treated my mother and her 20 year old car, I will be using them for any other repairs.

We’ve taken 2 vehicles of our own here as well as taken family vehicles and have always ignored the smaller details that never seem to add up when asking about repairs, however, after DRIVING our VW here to have a pre purchase inspection as well as a oil / transmission leak, they found a solution and I asked about the clutch life, was told it drove fine and said there was 50% life left, got a call to say it was ready, and then as I was on my way got another call saying he drove the car and it left him stranded so they needed to look and see what was going on, 3 days later he said my clutch completely went out and that it was un drivable so we ended up paying for the oil sensor / work and have it towed home, upon getting the car off the tow truck, the car NO LONGER runs at ALL and the car was NOT put back together. When I called he said he was told it was put back together by the other mechanic and he was working alone and didn’t get to oversee it himself and that I was going to need it taken apart to get to the clutch anyways. And said “sorry”
I will be more then happy to change / remove the review if there is a solution to this problem.
(You can clearly see from their reply below how unprofessional the owner is, your an auto shop, vehicles are taken there to be fixed and repaired, the fact that you are a grown man, and fault to take ANY RESPONSIBILITY shows. The car didn’t “barely drive” in there, the car was running, started, and drove before we took it there. When the FREE car was stopped off a full inspection was asked to be done, and I was given a listen of a few things that were not correctly done or even laid eyes on, and I specifically asked for the clutch to be looked at, and was told it was at 50% when you called and spoke to us you accepted responsibility for being at fault. I said no thanks not because of our funds but because this is the 2nd vehicle we have taken there and been lied straight to our face about. Have a blessed day!

Horrible work on my girlfriends truck. It's not the original owner. The Rick's auto back in the day was better. I know. I knew him. And went to school with his son. After he sold it, it went down hill. Ripped my girlfriend off big time. Overcharged, and didn't fix the issue until I went up personally to raise hell. Don't bring your vehicle here. It's a scam. I've lived here since 105 was 1 lane. You have destroyed Rick's name. My whole family used to take our vehicles here. We don't anymore. Do Not Bring Your Vehicle Here!!!!

I didn’t get any work done here but I called for a quote and instead I got some great advice to help assist me on repairing the vehicle myself with that being said if I ever need work done on my vehicle that I can’t perform myself this will be the place I bring my vehicle to.

It's been a while since I got my car back after having quite a bit of work done. Waited to post mainly to see if all the work would hold up!
